Google is expected to launch a new Nexus smartphone this fall, a huge Motorola-made Nexus 6 handset supposed to offer high-end specs and run Android L out of the box, according to the many detailed reports that have hit the web recently. The Nexus 6 will be a bigger version of the Moto X, with some renders and even alleged pictures showing a test device spotted in the wild having already hit the web. Android blog Droid-Life has also created some new in-house renders of its own based on information it has received about the device, further confirming the phone’s design.

BlackBerry would never do anything gimmicky like pay U2 to play at its flagship phone launch… well, OK, it did sort of appoint Alicia Keys to be its creative director that one time and it did have Wayne Gretzky introduce the Passport, but those two things were totally different because there’s always something pure about what they do! There’s little question at this point that the recent round of nude celebrity photo leaks are Apple’s fault. Hackers supposedly used simple brute force attacks, which consist of quickly and repeatedly guessing different passwords for an account until one works, to infiltrate iCloud accounts belonging to celebrities. Hacks of this kind are quite old and a simple security measure that restricts access to an account when incorrect passwords are used too many times in a short span would have prevented the leaks, if brute force attacks were indeed the hackers’ weapon of choice.

But now, it looks like this huge ordeal could end up costing Google, not Apple, millions of dollars.

Apple announced official iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch plans for China earlier this week, and while the phone will only start selling in local Apple and carrier retail stores on October 17th, with preorders and in-store reservations set for October 10th and October 14th, respectively, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus reservations are already available to early buyers, already topping 2 million units in the first 6 hours. Sina reports that even though Apple offered an October 10 preorder date for the new iPhones, all three major local carriers and other retailers have started taking reservations for the handset.

Apple isn’t ready to sell you a brand new Apple Watch just yet, but the company is certainly interested in making you want to buy one. In addition to showing the device in Paris in celebration of Fashion Week, Apple also allowed fashion magazine Vogue to write an ample Jony Ive profile, providing the publication access to its top designer. Most importantly, Apple offered the magazine access to the unannounced device weeks ahead of the actual iPhone 6 event where the Watch was unveiled, although Vogue only published its interview on Wednesday, almost a month after the Watch was first introduced to the world.
