We still have plenty of questions about Apple’s recently announced smartwatch, but following the leak of dozens of private celebrity photos from the iCloud, privacy is a primary concern. Connecticutt Attorney General George Jepsen has published a letter on the State of Connecticut’s government website in which he requests a meeting with representatives from Apple to discuss how information will be stored and protected on the Apple Watch.

September just continues to be a huge month for tech news: Not only are we seeing the launches of the iPhone 6, the Galaxy Note 4, the new Moto X and the BlackBerry Passport but we’re also going to get out first look at Windows 9 as well. Per Re/code, Microsoft has just sent out an invitation to media and analysts that invites them to “join us to hear about what’s next for Windows and the enterprise.” Given previous rumors, we can only assume this means that Microsoft will use this event to show off Windows 9 for the first time as well.

Apple has recently taken a tough line on super-expensive apps. There is BarMax CA, a California bar exam prep app, and a couple of industrial apps like MobiGage and Agro. But the $999 app club has only a couple of members. This week, the exclusive group gained a new member as Vizzywig 4K debuted. This hyper-deluxe iPhone application “captures full 4K resolution photos at the rate of 24 photos per second along with synched audio” rather than capturing video. You can thus get really, really, really nice clips with your iPhone 5s.

We’ve heard lots of Ballmer-esque comments rolling in from Swiss watch executives in the last week since Apple finally took the wraps off its hugely anticipated Apple Watch. Forbes has now scored an interview with Jean-Claude Biver, an icon in the Swiss watch industry who has had a highly distinguished career while working at Omega, Blancpain, and Hublot, among other places. Biver provides an interesting perspective because, while he admits to being “disappointed” with the Apple Watch, he also says the device gives Apple a solid foundation for doing bigger and better things in the future.
