The Coolest Cooler took Kickstarter by storm a while ago, emerging as an interesting, yet unexpected project that could in theory raise more money than the Pebble smartwatch, which pulled in $10,266,845 in pledges in its time, setting the record for the crowd-funding website. One of the things Apple is known for is its attention to detail especially when it comes to crafting marketing materials that sell its devices, including the elaborate “show” Apple puts on its website for highlighting the main features of a newly announced product. Comcast says it has to smother competition to protect poor people
Ever wonder why America’s two biggest cable providers don’t bother competing with one another? Or why you have only one choice for Internet service in your neighborhood? Or why cable prices have been rising at more than triple the rate of inflation? Well, wonder no more. Ars Technica flags some recent filings sent to the Federal Communications Commission sent by Internet service providers CenturyLink and RCN that detail how Comcast works tirelessly to keep them out of its markets and then justifies its actions as a favor to poor people.

We are about to find out if our universe really is a hologram
What could be the most important scientific experiment of our lifetime is about to begin. The so-called Holometer Experiment at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory aims to determine whether our perception of a three-dimensional universe is just an illusion. Do we actually live on a 2D plane, as holographic projection? There is a valid, well-established theory that states we are indeed living in a hologram, with a pixel size of about 10 trillion trillion times smaller than an atom. This has certain implications, some of which are quite sinister, even unspeakably horrific.

Incredibly cool GoPro video shows what it’s like to speed through Arizona canyons on a jet ski
What we love about GoPro videos is that they give us a first-person look at incredible sights and daring stunts that we ourselves might not want to go through. A terrific GoPro video recently posted on YouTube shows us some gorgeous footage of a man on a jet ski zipping through the water that winds through Mountain Sheep Canyon at Lake Powell, which is locate across both Arizona and Utah.
