Apple’s next-generation iPhone 6 is now less than two weeks away from its official unveiling, if a report from a solid source and Tuesday’s big leak are to be believed. With the phone expected to launch the following week on September 19th, it makes sense that the components contained within the hotly anticipated handset are now leaking like crazy.

Earlier this week, we saw a China-based cell phone parts retailer post a number of parts said to be destined for inclusion in either the iPhone 6 or the 5.5-inch iPhone phablet set to launch alongside or shortly after Apple’s flagship iPhone. Now, the retailer has added a different component that happens to be one of the iPhone 6’s most interesting new parts.

Per Engadget, Cyanogen and a mysterious startup called Nexbit have announced that they’re working together on “something really cool,” although they never specify what that “something” actually is. There are some very good reasons to think it’s going to be a killer new Android phone, however.

With the Galaxy S5 having been something of a dud for Samsung, its upcoming new phablet launch couldn’t possibly be more important. The supersized smartphone space is now heating up to the point where even Apple can’t ignore it anymore, and Samsung’s top spot in the phablet world is at risk for the first time. Apple is expected to launch a brand new iPhone with a 5.5-inch display at some point before the holidays this year, leaving Samsung precious little time to spread the word about its next-generation Note-series phone, which is set to be unveiled next week during a press conference.

Apparently tired of seeing Comcast hog all the bad publicity this past month, would-be merger partner Time Warner Cable has leapt back into the spotlight by delivering a nationwide Internet service outage. As Business Insider reports, TWC customers are complaining that their Internet service is down from coast to coast and an outage map posted on Twitter seems to show that this outage affects just about every customer in TWC’s footprint.
