After an unknown Moto XT1096 handset box was photographed recently, Smart Droid spotted a new version of the same handset in a Geekbench browser benchmark test. The device, which was codenamed the XT1097, seems to sport the kind of high-end specs the Moto X+1 might have to offer.

YouTube user Jonathan Morrison decided to find out and he showed off a fake iPhone 6 to Apple fans to see if he could convince them that it was the most incredible smartphone the world had ever seen. After releasing a high-quality video of the iPhone 6’s metallic rear shell in early July, Moscow-based luxury retailer Feld & Volk is back with more revealing images that highlight several interesting features of the upcoming Apple smartphone. Apparently, Feld & Volk has received a completed 4.7-inch iPhone 6 rear case and has taken various pictures of its elements and shared them with MacRumors. The new images reveal various interesting details about the iPhone 6’s final design that were not shown in previous leaks.

Samsung has already released five different smartwatches over the last year to varying degrees of success, but Yonhap News is reporting that the South Korean vendor is preparing to launch another in Berlin next month. Industry sources believe that Samsung’s next wearable device will be the Gear Solo, the company’s first standalone smartwatch which can make phone calls without being connected to a smartphone.

The popular 1Password is a great password manager for various devices, including iOS smartphones and tablets. And the best news is that the app will get even better once iOS 8 arrives, as Agile Bits plans to take advantage of Apple’s extension feature in iOS 8 to make 1Password work even easier and faster than before. In short, in iOS 8 users will be able to log into their favorite services without having to copy paste information from 1Password, as long as those apps support the password manager’s extension.

The HTC Nexus 9 – also known as Flounder and Volantis, and sometimes called the Nexus 8 – will have some impressive hardware, a new set of reports claim. The tablet has been spotted on Korea’s communications regulator (RRA) site, where it has apparently passed certification, G for Games reports.

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 4 during a special media event taking place early next month in Berlin, at IFA 2014, which is not really a surprise considering that all previous Galaxy Note phablet versions were announced at the same trade show. Unlike in previous years, when it took a while for Samsung to actually release the corresponding Galaxy Note model in various markets, in 2014 the company may launch the new Note a lot sooner.
