In addition to detailing Apple’s purported iWatch launch plans – the company is expected to have two sizes for its smartwatch and three versions in total – Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News also said that the iPhone maker will launch three iPad versions this year, including a new 9.7-inch iPad Air, a new 7.9-inch iPad mini and a 12.9-inch iPad, also known as the iPad Pro in some reports.

It looks like John Chen’s feisty BlackBerry has made itself another enemy. Last week, BlackBerry put up a post on its official blog that trashed the Blackphone for only offering “consumer-grade” security that couldn’t come close to touching BlackBerry’s enterprise-grade security. Blackphone isn’t taking this insult lying down, however, because it’s just shot back and said that, unlike BlackBerry, it makes secure smartphones that people actually want to buy.

According to one Forbes contributor, there is a big problem with the Windows version of Google’s Chrome browser that causes it to drain laptops’ batteries at a significantly faster rate — in fact, the issue may cause notebook PC batteries to drain 25% quicker than normal.

A new Kickstarter project says that you can improve smartphone battery life by adding a second screen to your Android handset, thus stopping yourself from continuously turning on the smartphone’s main display. Called InkCase Plus, the device is actually an E Ink screen that’s mounted in a special case, and it’s able to display incoming notifications and run certain special applications.

Siri is one of Apple’s crown jewels. The intelligent virtual assistant was introduced in 2011 alongside the iPhone 4S and the software has seen tremendous improvements since then. Siri has also seen its functionality expand exponentially, which is obviously a good thing — but it also means there are so many features packed in that there’s no way we can remember them all.

Apple is reportedly working on a secret battery project with British fuel cell firm Intelligent Energy, Daily Mail has learned from “senior sources in the U.S.,” hoping to one day embed eco-friendly fuel cell batteries in various devices including mobile phones, tablets and laptops.

In a recent update to the App Store Distribution page, Apple has revealed that iOS 7 adoption has reached 90% across all iOS devices as of July 13th. It took less than 24 hours for adoption to hit 29% and then 60% after a single week of availability. Of the 10% that haven’t updated yet, 9% are still on iOS 6 while the remainder are all on even earlier versions of the mobile operating system.
