There’s been a lot of talk about foldable devices at MWC, especially following Huawei’s Mate X launch. The foldable handset stole the show when it comes to foldable devices, a surprising feat considering that all eyes of the world were on Samsung’s Galaxy Fold ahead of MWC. But we also saw a bunch of other smartphone makers showcase foldable phone concepts at the show, or tease them online, including Oppo and TCL, but also Energizer and Motorola. The latter actually confirmed in an interview that its first foldable handset would hit the market as soon as the first half of the year.

More than a week ago, we had no clear idea whether Samsung would bring its first foldable handset to the Galaxy S10 Unpacked press conference, as it was previously rumored. And we suspected that at least one foldable would be shown at the Mobile World Congress. What followed was somewhat surprising, as foldable devices quickly took over MWC 2019. They’re certainly not for everyone, but they’re the talk of the town. It’s not a surprise that a foldable phone won the “Best in Show” award in Barcelona this year, but it wasn’t Samsung’s Galaxy Fold that did it.

When it comes to public health, one of the biggest risks is elected officials having absolutely no idea what they’re talking about. Republican Bill Zedler, a Texas state representative, recently spoke about the growing measles outbreak concern and the prospect of making vaccines mandatory to prevent widespread illness of the high-contagious disease. It probably won’t shock you to learn that he’s firmly against vaccination requirements.

As the Texas Observer reports, Zedler continued his anti-vaccination push by voicing his support for a new bill that would make it even easier for parents to opt out of mandatory vaccinations of their children. His reasoning is flawed, to say the least.

For the first time ever, there are more free games on the list of Xbox Games with Gold than there are free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. This is due to the fact that Sony is no longer giving away PS3 and PS Vita titles every month, while Microsoft continues to hand out free (and backward compatible) Xbox 360 titles.

More importantly, it’s a fairly eclectic and interesting collection of game’s for next month’s Games with Gold. If you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, you can download an Adventure Time RPG and a Plants vs. Zombies shooter. But the Xbox 360 titles appear to be the real gems of March, as we’ll be getting the classic FPS Star Wars Republic Commando and the brilliant action spinoff Metal Gear Rising.

Getting the daily weather forecast for your area is something that countless people do every single morning, but Earth’s weather systems aren’t the only kind of weather that could have a dramatic impact on your life. Space weather — that is, the ebbs and flows of particles around Earth, much of which comes from our Sun — will likely play a big role in humanity’s future, and understanding it could be vital to our survival as a species.

To that end, NASA has approved funding for a project called the Atmospheric Waves Experiment, or AWE for short. The $42 million mission will launch in Summer 2022 and will study specific features in Earth’s atmosphere to better understand the impact of space weather on our planet.
