Everyone seems to be fascinated by the idea of seeing a Google Street View car in person, but what if the car was hurtling straight toward you on a one-way street? According to The Smoking Gun, that’s exactly what happened in Little Rock, Arkansas. A Street View driver caused a T-bone collision when he realized he had turned in the wrong direction and made a U-turn going the wrong way on a one-way street.

Now that cell phone unlocking is again legal in the U.S., many smartphone users may be interested in unlocking their devices, either for carrier switching purposes, or for selling their old devices that were purchased with a new contract, and thus were locked to a certain operator. Luckily, for T-Mobile subscribers, there’s an app for that which was specifically conceived by the carrier to allow users to easily unlock a handset. However, the app has one huge limitation.

Killzone’s best mode yet
I was disappointed in Killzone Shadow Fall. There’s no two ways about it — the PS4 launch title felt unfinished, unbalanced and yet somehow still left me wanting more. If it had been a more complete package, some of its flaws might have been forgivable, which is why the new Intercept co-op DLC is right up my alley.

It’s something we’ve long suspected but now we finally have the proof we need: Your wireless carrier wants to push you to buy a Samsung smartphone over an iPhone. Kantar Worldpanel has just released a new study (PDF) confirming reports that we’ve long heard about carriers trying to steer their customers away from the iPhone and toward rival devices — most prominently, Samsung’s.

When Samsung announced a 24% decline in operating profits last month, it became clear that the company was going to have to do more to reestablish dominance in the high-end phone market. The Galaxy S5 didn’t do much for growth, but Samsung is planning on unveiling the Galaxy Note 4, its second top-of-the-line device of the year, on September 3rd at the IFA 2014 trade show. Unfortunately, as PCWorld has made abundantly clear, many analysts don’t think the Note 4 will be enough.

After an unknown Moto XT1096 handset box was photographed recently, Smart Droid spotted a new version of the same handset in a Geekbench browser benchmark test. The device, which was codenamed the XT1097, seems to sport the kind of high-end specs the Moto X+1 might have to offer.
