We’ve heard a lot of good reasons to oppose the Federal Communications Commission’s plan to allow for the creation of Internet “fast lanes.” However, the best one we’ve seen so far might be from Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler, who has written an op-ed for The Washington Post in which he explains why any plan that lets ISPs charge more in exchange for traffic prioritization should be a nonstarter.

We have good news and bad news, Samsung fans. The good news is that according to a new leaked photo from a reliable source, Samsung’s upcoming premium Galaxy F smartphone won’t be the shameless iPhone ripoff that a previous leak suggested it would be. Apple’s first iOS 8 beta was released on June 2nd and the second one came just as expected two weeks later. Now, Apple has released a much-needed third beta of its next-generation mobile platform. iOS 8 beta 3 brings with it a number of bug fixes and various new items as well. While Apple’s iOS 8 betas are intended for use by developers only on test devices, many people use the software on their personal phones, so the fixes brought about by iOS 8 beta 3 will certainly be greatly appreciated.

AT&T on Monday announced availability details for the LG G3, one of the most impressive Android flagship handsets to hit stores this year. The carrier will start taking pre-orders online for the smartphone on July 8, while in-store sales will begin on July 11.

iPhone 6 reports to date have all revealed Apple’s 2014 smartphones will be even slimmer than predecessors, which obviously means their batteries will have to be thinner – in fact, one report from suppliers familiar with the matter suggested that Apple may have had some troubles shrinking down the battery of the bigger 5.5-inch model to desired size, an issue that could cause shipping delays. While most iPhone 6 reports did not detail battery capacity, a new report from Asia shares more details about the supposed battery sizes for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions.
