Last month amid a string of exclusive reports detailing just about everything there is to know about Amazon’s first smartphone, BGR reported that one of the handset’s key selling points will be a special data plan called “Prime Data.” Our sources were able to confirm as much, however details surrounding the special new plan were not known at the time. Multiple sources told us that Amazon’s phone would likely be an AT&T exclusive in the U.S., and they speculated that Prime Data could be an offering that provides free streaming of Prime videos and music that will not apply toward users’ data caps.

Now, one of the last few puzzle pieces has fallen into place.

Apple at one point vehemently denied that it was involved with an alleged eBook price-fixing scheme that drove up the cost of eBooks. Now, the company has agreed to settle the $840 million suit out of court, Bloomberg reports. A filing with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York shows that Apple has finally agreed to a settlement, the terms of which were not disclosed. Apple was found guilty in 2013 of colluding with book publishers to raise eBook prices above the discounted prices Amazon was charging in its Kindle store. Apple attorney Steve Berman noted in a letter to the judge that Apple will continue to appeal the guilty verdict, and any payments related to the settlement will be dependent on the results of that appeal.

Nest on Monday announced on its blog that it’s resuming Nest Protect sales, after having recalled more than 400,000 smoke alarm units in mid-May due to safety risks. Nest said that its smart smoke detector now sells for $99, or $30 cheaper than before. However, the Wave feature, which allows users to silence alerts from the Nest Protect by simply waving their arm – and which was found to be a security threat, as it could misinterpret certain gestures – will not be available to buyers.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was a terrific looking game when it came out last year but apparently we haven’t seen anything yet. We learned last week that Rockstar will be releasing a refreshed version of its latest smash-hit game for the PlayStation 4 this fall and a new video that popped up on YouTube Monday shows us just how much better the game will look on the new console. The trailer shows several different environments in and around the fictional city of Los Santos and they show vastly improved textures, animations and overall details than the version we’ve seen on the PS3. Be sure to check out the full video, which shows both versions of GTA 5 side by side, below.

Popcorn Time is an amazing online service that allows users to stream movies online free of charge instead of downloading them via Torrent services. Basically, Popcorn Time allows users to instantly watch torrents in a Netflix-like manner, a service that’s dangerous for copyright content owners, as you can’t be punished for streaming illegal movies as you can for downloading and storing them. However, Popcorn Time had a short life, and was quickly removed, before resurfacing again.

When it comes to privacy, Facebook is hardly a shining beacon. Despite efforts in the past few months to clear up its image, it continues to upset privacy advocates, most recently with its decision to use your browsing history to show you more targeted ads. Of course, Facebook wants all this information to serve better ads, which in turn allows it to keep the social network we’re all addicted to free. After decisions like this, though, it’s worth being reminded about just how much Facebook knows about you, which is exactly what The Wall Street Journal did with its list of the most important things that you’re sharing with Facebook. Here’s just a taste:
