The OnePlus One has taken on a mythical quality, mostly due to the fact that it’s almost impossible to buy, but there are some very real limits to its perceived powers. Android Police has noticed that there’s a new video making its rounds on YouTube that shows the OnePlus One being dunked into a few centimeters of water and held there for a little more than 10 seconds before being pulled out completely unscathed. Although this video, which now has more than 50,000 views, seems to suggest that the OnePlus One is waterproof, the reality is that it’s not.

Nuance Communications, one of the biggest names in speech recognition, might be heading to the highest bidder before long. The Wall Street Journal reports that Nuance has been in talks with potential suitors as the company seeks a sale. According to sources familiar with the company, Samsung as well as several private-equity firms have been part of this discussion.

Apple is very late to the party when it comes to offering a music streaming service that’s capable of taking on Spotify. However, Apple does have one advantage over Spotify that could really help it catch up in terms of subscriber numbers: It’s got a ton of cash that it can throw at artists to produce exclusive content. Per The Verge, Beats Music this week is offering an exclusive remix of X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons’ hit song “Jungle” that features a guest appearance by Jay-Z.

iPhone and PlayStation 3 owners who looked for ways to jailbreak either device in the past probably know who Geohot is, and should be happy to hear he is still hacking devices. Geohot on Sunday released his own root tool on xda-developers that works on many Android handsets, including the Verizon and AT&T Galaxy S5 versions, which were harder to crack, at least so far.
