Chen writes on Twitter that he’s been told “that the split-screen feature for iOS 8 isn’t ready yet and won’t be shown at WWDC.” Split-screen multitasking is one of the most anticipated features coming to iOS 8 and it’s something iPad users have wanted to have for a while now. Chen says that the new feature is still “a work in progress” at this point and we can only hope that it will be ready for whenever iOS 8 actually comes out, which will likely be in the fall with the launch of the iPhone 6. No matter how you slice it, however, this doesn’t seem to be a very exciting WWDC as far as new products are concerned and at this point we’re hoping iOS 8 has some added surprises for us that we haven’t yet heard about.

Space.com reports that two years ago, some residents in Pike County, Kentucky reported seeing what they thought were UFOs from outer space but that turned out to be some of Google’s balloons that the company plans to use to bring Wi-Fi connectivity to rural parts of the world that lack Internet service.
