DisplayMate president Raymond Soneira has never been shy about slamming Apple when he thinks that it’s released a device with an inferior display — recall last year, for instance, he ripped the Retina iPad mini for “lagging” behind both the Google Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX. Now that he’s gotten his hands on the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6, however, he’s happy to report that Apple has finally taken a big leap forward in terms of display quality that he’s been waiting to see since the release of the iPhone 4 all the way back in 2010.
