It takes bees about three weeks to be fully born but a terrific new video posted by National Geographic Japan shortens that life cycle down to just over a minute. The stunning timelapse video filmed inside a bee colony shows eggs being laid inside individual cells, where they grow into larvae that get fed by worker bees. Once the larvae reach full growth after about two weeks, they’re sealed off in their cells and enter the pupa stage. At this point, it takes roughly one more week for them to emerge as fully formed bees.
