Sony Interactive Entertainment Benelux’s PR firm BAAS Amsterdam says that PS5 is still on track to launch this holiday season.
Recent reports have suggested that the coronavirus pandemic will lead to delays for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Both Sony and Microsoft have reiterated in recent days that their consoles are still on track to launch in 2020.

The world is in a state of crisis, and there are countless concerns more pressing than the release dates of two video game consoles, but we all need something to fill our brains with other than the doom and gloom of the daily news. As such, many gaming fans have been questioning whether or not the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will still be able to hit their holiday launch windows, and, at least for now, the answer is yes.

Microsoft reaffirmed its plans to launch the Xbox Series X this holiday season in a breakdown of technical specs and internal components on Monday. Those plans could always change in the weeks and months to come, but the plan is still to have the next-gen console out by the end of the year. As for Sony, we still haven’t heard much about the PS5 (not yet, anyway), but we now have evidence the console is still set to arrive in 2020.
