Everyone thought that Donald Trump’s presidential campaign would be snuffed out before the race could begin in earnest. Everyone thought that his past, mired in bankruptcies and indefensible statements, would sink him before he could even climb aboard.
Everyone was wrong.
Donald Trump is, to this day, performing incredibly well in the polls, stomping Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and Marco Rubio from sea to shining sea, but Stephen Colbert just hopes he can last at least a few more weeks.
