Nintendo hasn’t given its fans much to be excited about over the past few months, but following the surprise announcement of a full-year profit on Thursday, the video game company revealed that it would be entering into a partnership with Universal Parks & Resorts to bring Nintendo-based attractions to theme parks the world over.

McDonald’s is in bad shape right now and it has nothing to do with the silly-looking new Hamburglar mascot. Faced with slumping sales, the fast food giant has been scrambling around trying to come up with a way to rebrand its image to bring more customers back to its franchises. However, we never realized how desperate McDonald’s was until this morning when we read a Reuters report over at CNBC that revealed the company is actually going to start trying to sell kale at some locations in Southern California.

Although the Apple Watch isn’t hitting iPhone 6-level sales numbers, it’s definitely a hit by smartwatch standards. Now a new x-ray teardown conducted by iFixit and Chipworks has revealed that Samsung has a good reason to be happy at the Apple Watch’s success: Samsung apparently supplied Apple with a tiny 28-nanometer that is part of its S1 chipset.

Remember when T-Mobile was trying to convert BlackBerry users to the iPhone and BlackBerry decided to end its licensing agreement with the “Un-carrier?” Well, it seems the two have patched things up because the two announced on Thursday “a new partnership to bring the BlackBerry Classic to the Un-carrier’s Data Strong network and its approximately 57 million individual and business customers.”

Ubisoft announced on Thursday that the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be revealed on May 12th. The Galaxy S6 edge is amazing, but you probably know that. For some reason that still escapes me, I still like the curved version of Samsung’s top 2015 phone better than the flat model. So do many others, with various reports claiming Samsung was forced to increase Galaxy S6 edge production to meet unexpected demand. With that in mind, you’d think Samsung shouldn’t need to go out of its way to market the phone, and that it shouldn’t copy Apple’s manufacturing and design videos when doing it. Yet Samsung has released a second video detailing in Apple-like fashion the manufacturing process of the Galaxy S6 edge.

Hurricane Apple is coming after Spotify, but the beloved music streaming app seems to have a plan to weather the storm. First, per The Verge, Spotify has announced a major media event for May 20th. The press invite doesn’t hint at any details about what Spotify will announce but it is worth noting that this announcement is slotted to happen before Apple is expected to unveil its big new Beats Music relaunch in June.

In spite of launch and availability issues, the OnePlus One still was one of the biggest surprises of 2014. Coming from China, the OnePlus One gave buyers access to a high-end Android device for an incredibly affordable price, a feat reminiscent of some Nexus smartphones.
This year, the company will launch a sequel to the One that will have the same key characteristics: high-end specs that are on par with phones from well-established Android handset makers, but at a fraction of the price.

On an earnings call this afternoon, CBS CEO Les Moonves announced that the Showtime over-the-top service will launch in the coming months. The idea of a Showtime streaming service was floated shortly after HBO revealed its own offering — HBO Now — but no details were revealed at the time.
