That’s what just happened in the village of Ballycotton in Ireland, where the MV Alta, a 250+ foot cargo ship slammed into the rocky shore after over a year drifting crewless at sea.

The ship is completely abandoned, making for a spooky scene as it sits grounded near the shore. But how does a vessel like this meet such a fate? It’s a wild, twisting story, so kick back and take it all in.

When Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 added a battle royale mode in place of a single-player campaign, some players were disappointed. After all, while battle royales are very popular right now, there is a substantial portion of the fanbase that really enjoys the campaigns in the Call of Duty franchise, and so developer Infinity Ward prioritized the story mode in its follow-up, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, last year. A new battle royale mode was expected as well, but months later, nothing official has been announced. That might change in the coming weeks, though.

Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S20 flagship smartphone lineup a week ago today, which included what is undoubtedly the new crown jewel of Samsung’s entire smartphone portfolio, the Galaxy S20 Ultra. All of Samsung’s new S20 phones are sleek and powerful, but the Ultra model is clearly a cut above the rest. Where specs are concerned, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is unrivaled, featuring a giant 6.9-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch camera, up to 512GB of storage, up to 16GB of RAM, and a quad-lens rear camera with 100x hybrid “Space Zoom” that’s unlike anything we’ve seen before on a smartphone.

The rest of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 lineup is sleek and powerful as well, but people are focused specifically on the Ultra model for a few different reasons. First, as we explained above, it’s an absolute beast of a smartphone. But the second reason is the fact that all of Samsung’s new S20 phones are surprisingly expensive. The base model Galaxy S20 will start at $1,000 in the United States when it’s released on March 6th. That’s insane. Samsung copied Apple’s new iPhone strategy last year by adding a lower-cost phone to its Galaxy S10 flagship lineup, and the Galaxy S10e ended up being Samsung’s top-selling S10 phone. This year, however, Samsung completely abandoned the new “entry-level flagship” segment and introduced three new smartphones in the ultra-premium price range. The PlayStation 5 is one of the hottest new products of the year, and one you’ll have to wait at least about eight months to actually buy. It’s also a product that hasn’t yet been given a proper introduction. Sony revealed some details about the PS5’s core hardware, focusing on the massive performance improvements that will enable totally new gaming experiences. But the Japanese giant that sold almost 110 million PS4 units since its release isn’t ready to commit to any PS5 specifics. We have no idea when the console will be unveiled, when it’ll go up for preorder, or how much it’ll cost. But it turns out that Sony hinted at what its PS5 launch timeline might look like and we nearly missed it.
