In case you missed it, Henry Cavill stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night to talk up the new fantasy series he stars in that debuts on Netflix two weeks from this Friday. Henry portrays the stoic, white-haired monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, based on the popular series of books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and anticipation for which has been rising to a fever pitch in recent weeks as it starts to seem more and more like this show will be a more-than-perfect replacement for the now-ended Game of Thrones.

During his conversation with Kimmel, meanwhile, Henry also brought an extra treat — new footage from the series, which shows Henry-as-Geralt in fierce, sword-wielding action and which you can check out above (start the video around the 6:20 mark).

New renders of the forthcoming Galaxy Note 10 Lite, the more affordable variant of the Galaxy Note 10 that Samsung might launch as soon as this month, have leaked courtesy of @OnLeaks, revealing at least one interesting design detail that’s been making headlines today.

It appears that a headphone jack is back in the Note 10 Lite design, as opposed to that of its flagship counterpart. What you’ll also notice in the design (which you can check out via the leaked renderings below) is that the look includes a punch-hole camera on the front, as well as a noticeable camera bump in a square configuration on the back.

Not so fast, NASA! India says it knew where its Moon lander crashed months ago

India’s Vikram lunar lander didn’t land on the Moon. It crashed back in early September, destroying both the lander itself as well as the small rover it was carrying. This week, NASA released the first public images of the crash site, which were snapped by the agency’s own Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. Somehow, this is causing drama between NASA and the Indian Space Research Organization.

Throughout this entire saga, ISRO has been strangely standoffish. The group initially refused to declare the lander and rover dead despite the fact that the machines slammed into the lunar surface. The group then went quiet, and updates on the status of the mission were few and far between.

US Coast Guard rescues stranded kayakers who used an Apple Watch to call for help

There’s a reason why some insurance companies have started to subsidize the cost of new Apple Watches for their members: the device not only contributes to a healthier lifestyle, but has proven that it can actually help save lives.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen no shortage of stories involving Apple Watch owners who were alerted to a potentially grave heart condition via their device. And with the release of the ECG app on the Apple Watch Series 4 last year, these stories have only multiplied. That said, heart-related monitoring certainly isn’t the only way in which the Apple Watch continues to help save lives.

%name Here’s what Apple says to do if your 2019 MacBook Pro is randomly shutting down by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

If you’re among the MacBook Pro users whose 13-inch variant of the laptop keeps shutting down all of a sudden for no reason — with a variety of reports noting that seems to happen when the laptop still has anywhere from 25% to 50% of its battery life left — it’s no doubt a frustrating experience.

Apple, for its part, has gone ahead and confirmed the shutdown problem and published a support document that details a step-by-step walkthrough of what you should do if this keeps happening to you.

‘The Mandalorian’ episode 7 will feature a sneak peek of ‘The Rise of Skywalker’

%name ‘The Mandalorian’ episode 7 will feature a sneak peek of ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Star Wars is hot right now — not only because Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is almost here, but also because of The Mandalorian on Disney+. The show brought us the adorable Baby Yoda character, but that’s not the only reason it’s worthy of your attention. The Mandalorian actually tells a great story with awesome visuals, and, it’s about as close as we’ve ever gotten to Star Wars content that feels like the original trilogy.

Sadly, the two Disney properties aren’t likely to be linked in any meaningful way, although fans did find one clue that might point to a Mandalorian Easter egg in Rise of Skywalker. Even so, episode 7 of the series will air earlier than expected, and will deliver an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming saga-ending movie.

Nintendo Switch just had its biggest week ever, even with PS5 and Xbox Scarlett looming

%name Nintendo Switch just had its biggest week ever, even with PS5 and Xbox Scarlett looming by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Nintendo took a well-deserved victory lap on Tuesday, touting this week as the best yet in terms of sales of the Nintendo Switch since its launch in 2017. On a related note, the company also raved about sales of the Switch over the week that included Thanksgiving and Black Friday, with both the Switch and Switch Lite selling a combined total of more than 830,000 units in the US, bringing total sales of the Switch in the Americas up to 17.5 million units.

The brisk pace of sales last week also marks the week of November 24-30 as the best sales week in the US in the history of the Switch, a result helped in part thanks to the introduction of the Switch Lite, as well as myriad Black Friday offers, including the Switch bundle that included a free Mario Kate 8 Deluxe game download.

Samsung might launch Galaxy Buds+ to compete with Apple’s AirPods Pro

%name Samsung might launch Galaxy Buds+ to compete with Apple’s AirPods Pro by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Earlier this year, Samsung launched a new pair of wireless earphones, which it then bundled with the Galaxy S10 series at launch. The free Galaxy Buds were well received at the time, and Samsung ran out of bundles during the S10’s preorder. Since then, Samsung’s biggest rival launched two new sets of headphones: Second-generation AirPods with wireless charging cases, and the AirPods Pro with a new design and noise-canceling support.

But Samsung is apparently looking to catch up to Apple when it comes to wireless headphones, and might soon release an upgraded Galaxy Buds model of its own, rumored to be called Galaxy Buds+.

Netflix is testing a new feature that automatically downloads shows and movies it thinks you’ll like

%name Netflix is testing a new feature that automatically downloads shows and movies it thinks you’ll like by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Netflix tests countless features year in and year out, many of which never see the light of day. One feature that stuck around was Smart Downloads, which deletes downloaded episodes when you finish watching them and automatically downloads the next episode. As much room as high-definition video content can take up on your phone or tablet, this is a great feature for Netflix subscribers who are constantly on the go.

One of the more recent tests takes Smart Downloads one step further, as rather than download the latest episode of a show you’re already watching, it will download episodes of shows it thinks you’ll want to watch. It’s called “Downloads For You,” and it might help you discover your next favorite show.
