NASA has a rock radio station, and the promo video is hilariously cringey

What are you listening to today? Spotify? Apple Music? iHeartRadio? Whatever it is, it can’t possibly compete with Third Rock Radio. You’ve never heard of Third Rock Radio, and I don’t blame you. It’s a radio station that is run with the help of NASA, and in years of being a total science nerd I never even knew it existed.

It does, however, exist, and it’s been running for over eight years. NASA recently decided to remind everyone of this fact by republishing a short promo for the station. I have no idea why this is a thing.

Don’t be surprised if this Galaxy Fold 2 concept looks better than the real thing

The second generation of Samsung’s foldable smartphone has been all-but-confirmed for a 2020 release, with evidence of an imminent launch for the Galaxy Fold 2 having shown up on official channels in recent days.

We got this official sneak peek of the Fold 2 last month at the Samsung Developers Conference. We still have a lot of questions about the device, starting with the name (we’re calling it the Galaxy Fold 2 for now, until Samsung decides on the official branding it will go with). The early hints suggest the design will be similar to that of the new Motorola Razr and be a bit of a departure from the initial version of the Fold that launched in September.

Meanwhile, one Instagram account has gone ahead and released a concept image that tries to visualize what the next version of Samsung’s experimental foldable phone might look like, which you can check out below.

Archaeologists found ancient babies wearing skulls like helmets

Archaeologists in Ecuador have uncovered the remains of babies buried over 2,000 years ago. It would be an interesting find no matter the context, but these infants are leaving researchers scratching their heads for a very specific reason: The children were buried in “helmets” made from the skulls of other, older children.

The discovery is the subject of a new paper published in Latin American Antiquity. The team studying the site, led by Dr. Sara Juengst, was left struggling to explain the symbolism behind the apparently rare custom, as it’s the first time archaeologists have found anything like it.

Samsung is expected to launch at least three flagship smartphones next year, including the Galaxy S11, Fold 2, and Note 10. But when it comes to design changes, only the Fold 2 is expected to get a significant makeover, according to recent reports.

The Galaxy S11 and Note 11 may look a lot like their predecessors, although Samsung will probably add discrete changes in order to help consumers tell all of their phones apart. However, Samsung is also working on smartphone designs unlike anything seen on the Galaxy S or Note series so far.

Paleontologists found dinosaur feathers

%name Paleontologists found dinosaur feathers by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We often think of dinosaurs as big lizards, with reptilian features. For decades, the common belief was that dinosaurs had smooth skin, much like reptiles we see today. That was likely true for a large portion of them, but more recent discoveries suggest that there were also many dinosaurs that sported feathers.

In a new paper published in Gondwana Research, paleontologists reveal fossils discovered over a century ago are actually proof that feather-wearing dinosaurs inhabited the South Pole. The investigation hints at the likelihood that dinosaurs may have adopted feathers as a way to combat cold weather in extreme climates.

T-Mobile’s unconventional CEO John Legere is finally stepping down

%name T Mobile’s unconventional CEO John Legere is finally stepping down by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In the past year or so, it’s gotten to the point where most times I’ve gotten a press release from T-Mobile — which has almost always included a quote from the so-called Un-carrier’s CEO, in which he almost always goes out of his way to zing rivals like AT&T and Verizon — AT&T has followed suit with an email of their own.

Such is the culture fostered by T-Mobile CEO John Legere, who announced Monday that he’s finally stepping down come April 30, 2020, after his seven years in the job. We’re the Un-carrier, he insisted every chance he got. We’re not like the others. We’re the good guys. All of that, while cultivating a Twitter-savvy image and gleefully skewering the competition, like the time he starred in a claymation Christmas video that featured an elf, Frosty the snowman, and Legere declaring that the business practices of AT&T and Verizon are “bullshit.”
