Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds review: Razer takes aim at Apple’s AirPods

%name Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds review: Razer takes aim at Apple’s AirPods by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The wireless earbud war has been raging for years now, but Razer is just now throwing its hat into the ring with the Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds. At a pretty reasonable price of $99.99, they’re cheaper than Apple’s AirPods, Google’s Pixel Buds, and even Amazon’s Echo Buds, but that’s only part of the story.

At this point, it’s clear that every major tech company either already has launched an AirPods competitor or soon will. You don’t have to be an Apple fanboy to admit that a lot of these alternatives are lackluster. The issue is that, aside from slight differences in battery life or form factor, very few of them have any defining features.

%name Did Sony just accidentally leak the design of the PS5 controller? by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Sony has been surprisingly forthcoming about the PlayStation 5, but it’s unlikely that we will actually see the console itself before next year. But as for the controller, we might have gotten a glimpse of it this week thanks to a Japanese patent website. First spotted by Video Games Chronicle, the patent from the Japan Platform for Patent Information contains a series of images that appear to showcase the design of the DualShock 5 controller.

TikTok’s owner may launch a cheaper rival to Spotify and Apple Music next month

%name TikTok’s owner may launch a cheaper rival to Spotify and Apple Music next month by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The way Alex Zhu — who today heads up the video app TikTok that’s taken the teen and 20-something demographics by storm — tells the service’s origin story, it involves a train ride and a eureka moment.

Back in 2014, Alex had co-founded Musical.ly, which trod similar ground as TikTok does today with the short-burst videos that users create in which they do everything from lip-syncing songs to dancing, showing off talent, and just generally being funny. Alex was on a train at one point back then, riding from San Francisco to Mountain View, California, and as he explains it to The New York Times, he started noticing the teenagers around him on the train. They were listening to music with their phones, but also taking selfies and passing their phones around among them.

Disney+ user accounts are already getting hacked

%name Disney+ user accounts are already getting hacked by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The launch of Disney+ thus far has been something of a mixed bag. On one hand, Disney was able to get 10 million users to sign up for its fledgling service, an impressive figure no matter how you look at it. On the other hand, the service’s debut was not without its share of frustrations as users experienced a range of technical difficulties when it came to actually accessing Disney’s vast catalog of content. While some users experienced slow streaming speeds, others were unable to connect to the service at all.

Disney naturally attributed the issues to swelling consumer demand.

Apple fans, we have good news and bad news. The good news is that Apple just released new updates for it mobile devices. The bad news is that unfortunately, iOS 13.2.3 and iPadOS 13.2.3 don’t include the major RAM management fix that speeds up iPhones and iPads by fixing the big multitasking bug everyone has been complaining about. You’ll have to wait for iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 for those fixes (or just install the beta). In the meantime, iOS 13.2.3 and iPadOS 13.2.3 have plenty of other bug fixes so definitely install these updates as soon as possible.
