iPhone 12 vs. Galaxy S11: New Samsung flagship rumored to be boring as iPhone gets a major redesign

%name iPhone 12 vs. Galaxy S11: New Samsung flagship rumored to be boring as iPhone gets a major redesign by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Apple’s iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max are impressive smartphones and every indication is that they’re selling quite well after a dicey year for Apple’s iPhone business last year. They’re the most powerful phones on the market right now — especially since iOS 13.3 fixed the RAM management bug that was holding them back — and the Pro models in particular have what is arguably the best smartphone camera system the world has ever seen. That’s right, after falling behind Huawei and Google for several phone generations, Apple’s latest iPhones have reclaimed the camera crown. They capture photos and videos in stunning clarity, and Apple’s new Night mode takes the idea behind Google’s “Night Sight” nighttime photography feature and turbocharges it. They’re incredible flagship phones for sure, but there’s one area where some users think Apple has fallen short in 2019: Design.

Starting with the iPhone 6, Apple shifted to a new design cycle that sees the company update its flagship iPhone design every three years instead of every two. Considering most people these days hold onto their smartphones for three years or even longer, it’s certainly not the end of the world for Apple. Hardcore gadget fans who upgrade to the latest and greatest phone each year are certainly annoyed though, and they’ll finally get the big iPhone design overhaul they’ve been waiting for next year. Unfortunately for Samsung, however, it looks like Apple’s major iPhone 12 redesign is coming in a year when Samsung’s own Galaxy S series is set to be pretty boring.

We found out only a few days ago that Google’s game streaming service will only support 12 games at launch, which isn’t necessarily the great news early buyers expected. However, the first games expansion is already here, as 10 more titles were added to the list of Stadia-ready list of games. That means early Stadia subscribers will have 22 games at their disposal at launch.

%name Google’s Black Friday sale includes great Pixel 4 and Pixel 3a discounts by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

One of the main Google Black Friday 2019 deals leaked a few days ago when some people saw ads advertising a $200 price drop for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL phones. The ad said the prices will be valid through Cyber Monday, matching the newly unveiled Best Buy deal for the handset. In the meantime, Google has made it all official, giving its customers a sneak peek at the upcoming Black Friday sales. The good news is that the Pixel 4 will be $200 cheaper, just as the leaked ad said. And that’s not all, as the Pixel 3a starts at just $299.

New Google Maps feature will make exploring new cities even more fun

%name New Google Maps feature will make exploring new cities even more fun by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Google Maps is already an incredible tool to navigate your surroundings, whether it’s the city you already know or your next vacation destination. But Google is increasingly looking to expand the app’s scope beyond directions and navigations. The latest addition to Maps is such an example, as Google wants to help Maps users make the most of their next travel destination with the help of actual people, Local Guides, whose content will be featured prominently within the app. That sounds like an extra layer of bulky, unwanted content, hitting the app, but tourists might appreciate the feature nonetheless.

Neptune’s moons are ‘dancing,’ and it’s so cool

%name Neptune’s moons are ‘dancing,’ and it’s so cool by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Earth has just one Moon, which makes it pretty simple for it to avoid collisions with other large objects since, well, there’s nothing for it to collide with. Other moons don’t have it nearly so good. Neptune, for example, has over a dozen moons, and for all those tiny worlds to coexist, some interesting patterns have emerged.

In a new post, NASA highlights one relationship in particular. the moons Naiad and Thalassa travel in very similar orbital neighborhoods, only separated by some 1,150 miles. That’s a hair’s width in planetary terms, so why don’t the two moons cause problems for one another? The short answer is that they dance.
