A series of recent reports claimed that Apple plans to unveil a brand new product next year, augmented reality glasses that would work in tandem with the iPhone. We’ve been calling the device Apple Glasses for lack of a better name, but it turns out the first AR wearable product from Apple might not look anything like glasses. A new report says that Apple plans to launch an AR headset by 2022, and that AR glasses will follow a year later. Recent rumors all said Apple might unveil its first AR product as early as next year given that icons for an AR headset were already spotted inside iOS, but there were never any guarantees that would happen.

Ready for some good news, though? We found a hidden listing on Amazon for the international version of the Sony WH1000XM3 wireless noise cancelling headphones, and they’re on sale for even less than the $278 that Amazon was charging during its early Black Friday deal!

Is this the iPhone 12 Pro of our dreams?

%name Is this the iPhone 12 Pro of our dreams? by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Love Apple or hate it, there’s still no question that the company’s iPhone lineup generates more buzz than any other smartphone series. Samsung’s flagship phones come closer than ever thanks to the company’s multi-billion dollar marketing and advertising campaigns that helped it make good on an impossible promise, but the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max are still in a league of their own. In fact, Samsung just released its first smartphone with a revolutionary foldable OLED screen, and yet it still can’t seem to match Apple’s recently released iPhone 11 models in terms of chatter and buzz online.

The most incredible thing about all this is Samsung’s Galaxy Fold has a completely new form factor and a design that’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Meanwhile, the new iPhone 11 series looks exactly like the iPhone XR/XS from last year and the iPhone X from 2017, but with new cameras. That’s it… and yet these phones are still the talk of the town while the Galaxy Fold is barely even mentioned anymore in the US and other top smartphone markets. If that’s what happens with iPhone models that reuse the same design for a third consecutive year, imagine what 2020 is going to be like when Apple releases the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max with a brand new look that is shaping up to be the most stunning iPhone design we’ve ever seen.

The Galaxy S11’s design has been finished, a leaker said a few days ago, suggesting that the first Galaxy S11 should soon be here. While we’re yet to see purported schematics, renders, or actual photos of then next Samsung flagships, we did have plenty of leaks in the past few days that detailed some of the Galaxy S11’s specs, including the camera features, display tech, and battery sizes. A new leak from a trusted source now reveals some of the key Galaxy S11 specs, including screen sizes and connectivity options.

Google Maps is one of Google’s best and most popular apps and an application that Google often updates. Some of the improvements are significant additions to the app, like the Waze incident reports, the incognito mode, and AR navigation support, while others are much smaller in scope. The latest update may be seen as a minor upgrade, but it’s definitely the kind of privacy features a set of Google Maps users will definitely appreciate.

Over the weekend, one of Apple Card’s most high-profile users — who also happens to be none other than Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak — took the dramatic step of joining in the calls from critics who want more government oversight over the algorithms used to make decisions about card users.

Case in point: Wozniak said Goldman Sachs, the financial services giant that teamed up with Apple to offer the banking-type services and infrastructure associated with the card, gave Wozniak a 10x Apple Card credit line compared to the one extended to his wife. That’s despite the fact that the couple shares various bank and credit card accounts and that other lenders more or less treat them the same for credit purposes.
