If you have an Apple Watch, you undoubtedly love it. Honestly, I couldn’t even imagine being without mine for just a couple of hours at this point. But there’s one thing about it that I don’t like at all and I have found that most Apple Watch owners I talk to are the same way: it’s so annoying to have to travel with that mile-long charging cable. Thankfully, I never charge with that crazy cable anymore. Instead, I just picked up a Pantheon Portable Charger for Apple Watch and I leave it in my bag so I can charge my Watch anywhere!

Pantheon Portable Charger Made for Apple Watch [Apple Certified Powerbank for Series 4 3 2 or 1…: $37.97

Spotify’s growth rate and engagement have suddenly leapt past Apple Music

%name Spotify’s growth rate and engagement have suddenly leapt past Apple Music by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Spotify surprised everyone on Monday with an unexpected quarterly profit that accompanied some uncharacteristically bullish remarks from the company about its competitive landscape, with Spotify insisting that the company’s growth rate and engagement have surpassed those of its closest rival: Apple Music.

In terms of hard numbers, the Swedish streamer said it had added some 26 million paying subscribers over the past year to push that number to 113 million at the end of September. It’s hard to put that number in perspective, though, since Apple’s most recent number of Apple Music paying subscribers was 60 million, which the company disclosed in June.

‘Game of Thrones’ creators confirm that they had no clue what they were doing

%name ‘Game of Thrones’ creators confirm that they had no clue what they were doing by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It was supposed to be a massive accomplishment for HBO and the Game of Thrones team, but season 8 was instead a huge disappointment. For the hundredth time, it wasn’t the final destination that bummed everyone out, but the road that got us there. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were heavily criticized for the final six episodes, and the finale is the worst-rated episode in Thrones history.

The scripts were often rushed, forgoing logic and common sense, with D&D choosing to subvert expectations rather than deliver the final season fans wanted. Fans did not forgive them, and they were quick to Google bomb the showrunners — just search for bad writers and see what happens. Others started a petition asking for HBO to remake the final season with better writers, with more than 1,750,000 people having signed it since May.

Smart Battery Case for iPhone 11 leaked thanks to the new iOS 13.2 update

%name Smart Battery Case for iPhone 11 leaked thanks to the new iOS 13.2 update by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

For years, iPhone owners have made it very clear that they wouldn’t mind a slightly thicker device in exchange for prolonged battery life. With the iPhone 11, Apple at long last answered those prayers. The iPhone 11 Pro, for example, lasts a whopping 4 more hours than last year’s iPhone XS. That’s a remarkable achievement that can’t be overstated. The iPhone 11 Pro Max, meanwhile, offers up 5 more hours of battery life than the iPhone XS Max.

Xiaomi’s new smartwatch looks suspiciously like an Apple Watch

%name Xiaomi’s new smartwatch looks suspiciously like an Apple Watch by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We, like other press outlets, have zinged Xiaomi before for its brazen mimicking of Apple, from Xiaomi’s AirDots product earlier this year that resembled Apple’s AirPods to Xiaomi’s Mi 9 smartphone bearing a striking resemblance to the iPhone X as well as Xiaomi’s Memoji knockoff. Meanwhile, it seems the Chinese brand is at it again, this time preparing to announce a new smartwatch next week on November 5.

And in a teaser the company posted today to the Chinese social media platform Weibo, the forthcoming watch looks a lot like — you guessed it — the Apple Watch.

Mars just barfed up InSight’s probe and NASA doesn’t know why

%name Mars just barfed up InSight’s probe and NASA doesn’t know why by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Hey, so, funny story: Remember a couple of weeks back when NASA declared that a plan to get its Mars InSight probe to dig deeper into the planet’s surface had worked? It was exciting, since it meant the probe might finally be able to get deep enough to fulfill its destiny and return important data from the Red Planet. Well, that all changed, and the InSight team is essentially back at square one.

Shortly after the InSight lander touched down on Mars the self-hammering “mole” probe that was supposed to bury itself up to 16 feet into the planet began to falter. It just couldn’t get a grip on the loose Martian soil, and NASA had to invent a new way to make it work.

Google considers buying Fitbit as time runs out for the wearable company

%name Google considers buying Fitbit as time runs out for the wearable company by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Google started offering hints earlier this year that it wanted to finally make a serious push into wearables of its own, thanks to clues like the company’s job listing spotted back in February that sought someone for the position of wearables vice president.

And when you couple that with Google’s $40 million acquisition of Fossil’s technology, it makes the overture from Google’s parent company Alphabet to buy wearable maker Fitbit, which was reported on Monday, look like Google is getting much closer to finally developing branded wearables of its own.

Woman realizes painting hanging in her kitchen is worth $26 million

%name Woman realizes painting hanging in her kitchen is worth $26 million by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Most of us would be happy just to find a $5 bill hiding out on our kitchen countertop, but an elderly French woman recently discovered something far more valuable in her kitchen. It was a painting that had been hanging on her wall for years, and it wasn’t until an auctioneer spotted it that she even considered selling it.

That twist of fate resulted in a life-changing sale that topped $26 million this past weekend. The painting, which is being called a “masterpiece,” was created by Italian painter Cimabue and is thought to be around 700 years old.
