NASA scientists working with the Curiosity rover have had plenty to be excited about over the years, with discoveries coming regularly, revealing tantalizing details about the Red Planet and its history. Recently, a “special chemistry experiment’ was conducted by the robot for only the second time in its history, and the completion of that experiment was celebrated with a brand new rover selfie.

The photo, which NASA posted on its website, was snapped on October 11th, and while we see it as a single image, it’s actually the result of 57 individual photos that weres stitched together after the fact.

AT&T’s online TV price increase screws over the customers the company needs the most

AT&T is bleeding TV customers, with no end in sight to the losses as subscriber numbers continue to plummet. AT&T said in September it expected to lose a little more than 1 million TV customers in the third quarter, while the company’s plan to address the losses relies on a familiar solution in the Netflix age: TV delivered online, in this case via AT&T TV Now, the service formerly known as DirecTV Now.

Unfortunately, though, AT&T may be in danger of turning off the very customers it needs right now, thanks to more than one online TV price increase that’s year — price hikes that mean some customers’ bills are now 50% higher than they were earlier this year.

Mobile security company Wandera issued a report Thursday afternoon identifying 17 apps in Apple’s App Store infected with clicker Trojan malware, all of which are tied to the same India-based developer.

By Friday morning, Apple confirmed they’d been booted from the App Store.

Apple told at least one news outlet that 18 apps were removed following the report, but Wandera appears to believe that double-counts one of the apps, with the firm noting in its findings that its “initial list of infected apps included two instances of cricket score app ‘CrickOne’ that were hosted on different regional App Stores and contain distinct metadata.” Upon review, Wandera found that those apps use the same codebase.

With October almost over, we’re less than two months away from the supposedly epic conclusion of Star Wars. And Star Wars is one of the most important things happening in entertainment this week, with the final Rise of Skywalker trailer having been released just a few days ago. That’s just one of the brand new trailers you’ll catch in theaters this week, with Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot being another highlight.

As for new releases, we have a couple of films that may be on your radar, including Black and Blue and Countdown. Joker and Zombieland: Double Tap are still much better choices — the former launched a few weeks ago, and it’s still going strong, and you’ve been waiting for the latter for a decade.

There’s a lot of history behind the iconic American Express® Green Card, which made headlines in recent days for its splashy relaunch. Setting aside the elevated 30,000-point welcome bonus and the slew of other perks that should get many travelers pretty excited, the relaunch Amex that celebrated was sorely needed for a card that’s actually 50 years old this year. It first launched back in 1969, when the Beatles were still together and the same year mankind first stepped onto the moon. At the time, travelers loved it, because it was an alternative to carrying around traveler’s checks.

And while the focus seemed to increasingly shift to Amex’s more luxe Platinum and Gold cards, the Amex Green Card’s relaunch has brought new perks and rewards that should once again excite anyone who travels more than once a year. One travel publication has gone so far as to call the refreshed card a “travel game-changer.”

%name A brand new hero we might see in ‘Avengers 5’ was once set to debut in ‘Infinity War’ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Avengers: Endgame might not be real cinema according to a few old men, but it’s certainly one of the most exciting movies ever made. It took Marvel ten years to put it together, accomplishing something that had never been done before. Some 20 movies were intertwined to create Infinity War and Endgame, before Spider-Man: Far From Home concluded the Infinity Saga. And Marvel isn’t stopping anytime soon, having already announced its plans for Phase 4.

Those plans don’t currently include a new team-up movie, but Avengers 5 must be coming eventually, maybe as soon as the next MCU phase. What Endgame proved is that fans are hungry for the storytelling these movies deliver, and Marvel just can’t afford to stop making more Avengers sequels. When the next Avengers does happen, we’ll have plenty of new team members to replace the fallen and retired, including a superhero everyone has been waiting to see. But this specific hero almost made his debut before the last Phase ended.

It’s not an overstatement to say that Tesla’s earnings report this week was jaw-dropping. With analysts expecting the electric automaker to post a quarterly loss, Tesla posted a profit of $1.91 per share. Suffice it to say, analysts were completely caught by surprise.

“While we remain concerned on 2020 momentum / profitability, we acknowledge this was an outstanding quarter relative to lowered expectations despite mixed headwinds which we expect could increase as Model Y launches,” an Evercore ISI analyst said of Tesla’s earnings report. Other analysts, meanwhile, echoed that sentiment.
