It’s been one heck of an exciting week for anyone who dreams of one day hearing about extraterrestrial life. In a recent op-ed, former NASA scientist Gilbert Levin claims that not only has the space agency found evidence of life on Mars, but it did so decades ago during the Viking missions. His claims are based on the data sent back by the Viking Labeled Release experiment, which appeared to show that microbes were “breathing” in the planet’s soil.

It’s an interesting claim, and Levin makes a convincing argument that the readings the Viking landers sent back are evidence of life. Unfortunately, NASA didn’t feel the same way at the time, and the agency’s stance hasn’t changed in the decades since.

Sony plans to launch the PlayStation 5 during the 2020 holiday season, and that’s not a secret. The company said as much a few times already, stopping short of revealing the actual date or even month when the PS5 will hit store shelves. If you assumed that the late-2020 launch window meant mid-November, as was the case with the PS4 back in 2013, you won’t like this new rumor. Sources said to be familiar with the matter claim the PS5 won’t be released in November, but rather December 2020.

Regardless of how you feel about hole-punch display designs for smartphones, the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 phones represent Samsung’s best all-screen design to date. Codenamed “Winner,” the Galaxy Fold proved to be anything but a win for Samsung. The foldable device gave the company serious headaches earlier this year when the late-April launch was canceled so Samsung could fix a few huge problems that were causing displays to break. The phone did hit stores in some markets five months later, but the Fold is still a very fragile piece of technology with a screen that’s far too easy to ruin. Foldable devices are still the future of mobile though, and handset vendors shouldn’t stop improving them. Samsung is certainly not going to stop making foldable products or components for them. A new report says the Galaxy Fold 2 is already in the works, with Samsung eying an April launch for the handset.
