Invasive species can be a major problem no matter where they pop up. Whether plants or animals, species that are taken to new areas can rapidly disrupt the ecosystem and drive native species out, or even push them to extinction. In the United States, invasive fish species are unfortunately fairly common, but the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is issuing a stern demand if you happen to come across one in particular.

The northern snakehead is a species that is not native to the US, but it’s been spotted in over a dozen states. This week, a northern snakehead was spotted in Georgia for the first time ever, and wildlife officials want to snuff it out before it takes over.

David Harbour thinks Hopper is alive, but the ‘Stranger Things’ creators won’t tell him

With Stranger Things 4 confirmed, we still have no idea whether or not Hopper is alive. We didn’t see him die during the finale of season 3, although his death was very much implied. At the same time, the Duffer Brothers gave us hope that he might have survived the ordeal in an unexpected post-credits scene — and fans already have theories on what might have happened.

Interestingly enough, David Harbour has no idea what happens, but he thinks Hopper made it out alive. Having direct access to the Duffers, he called the show’s creators to ask them about Hopper… while taping Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 devices have been out for a few months now, and even though the nearly $1,000 handsets in this lineup are still pretty new on the market Samsung is rumored to be working on a surprising new addition to the series. Surprising, because the word is Samsung is actually going in the opposite direction, at least price-wise, with this new device and planning it as a budget-version of the Note 10.

This Wi-Fi router is way better than it should be for just $18

%name This Wi Fi router is way better than it should be for just $18 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

I spent over $300 on the mesh Wi-Fi system I use in my apartment. It’s great and it supports lightning-fast data speeds, but it’s also a total waste of money. My home internet only goes up to 200 Mbps and I definitely don’t need all the coverage that a mesh system provides. Instead of getting this system, I should have picked up a TP-Link WR841N Wireless Wi-Fi Router. It has high-power antennas that provide more than enough coverage for most apartments, and it has data speeds up to 300 Mbps. All that for only $18!

This newly-discovered dinosaur was a massive carnivore with shark-like teeth

%name This newly discovered dinosaur was a massive carnivore with shark like teeth by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Museums around the world are filled with stunning fossil displays that show complete — or near-complete — specimens of creatures that lived long, long ago. But finding fossils isn’t easy, and uncovering complete skeletons is even harder, often leaving paleontologists with only a handful of bones with which to identify an ancient animal.

That was the case for a team of scientists in Thailand who only needed 22 bones to realize they had discovered an entirely new species of carnivore. The animal, formally named Siamraptor suwati, was a fierce predator with teeth similar in design to sharks, and you definitely wouldn’t have wanted to get on its bad side.

Porsche CEO explains how the Taycan outshines Tesla’s Model S

Tesla certainly isn’t the only EV company making strides in the automotive space, but if you’re looking for an all-electric luxury sedan, Tesla has for some time now been the only game in town. Indeed, the popularity of Tesla vehicles is what prompted more traditional automakers like Porsche and BMW to pay attention and invest in EVs in the first place.

Interestingly enough, Porsche over the past few years has been especially candid when it comes to discussing the strategic threat posed by Tesla and its subsequent foray into the EV space. Famously, Porsche Cars North America CEO Klaus Zellmer a few years ago went so far as to say that Tesla’s Model S likely drew away consumers who would have otherwise purchased a Porsche.

Animation discovered in new iOS 13.2 beta points to unreleased AirPods feature

Rumors continue to circulate that Apple is planning to introduce a new AirPods design soon that incorporates one of the most oft-requested features from fans. We’re talking, of course, about noise cancellation, something we reported earlier this month may be introduced in a brand new AirPods model by the end of this year.

With only a few months to go in 2019, releasing the headphones with this new feature might make them an especially attractive holiday buy. We may learn more details as to release timing later this month, should Apple decide to hold a special event, following its September iPhone presentation, as has been anticipated. Till then, meanwhile, a new animation discovered in the latest iOS 13.2 beta offers yet another clue that the noise cancellation feature may be coming soon.

Upcoming tests will reveal whether Boeing’s Starliner is ready for prime time

It’s no secret that NASA is increasingly leaning on commercial partners to meet its various needs, and when it comes to sending humans into space, Boeing and SpaceX are already behind schedule. Both companies have seen their share of setbacks with regard to their independent commercial crew programs, but SpaceX’s Crew Dragon has already made an uncrewed trip to the International Space Station, and Boeing is playing catch-up.

As SpaceNews reports, Boeing VP John Mulholland recently revealed the company’s immediate plans for Starliner testing. According to the executive, Boeing intends to have its Starliner ready for a launch abort test early next month, with an uncrewed orbital test flight squeezing in before the end of 2019.

Apple’s new iPhone 11 lineup the company unveiled in September came with a few surprises for once, with some early renders and physical designs that leaked out shown to be a bit off and allowing Apple to actually give fans a few things they weren’t expecting. But it wasn’t just the designs that surprised. The next-generation A13 Bionic processor in the phones also, according to Apple, packs 20% more power than its predecessor, allowing for big performance improvements yet again in this newest iPhone series.
