Microsoft’s annual product reveal events might not be subject to as much fervent anticipation as Apple’s yearly iPhone unveiling, but this year, Microsoft has a chance to outdo one of its biggest rivals with a revolutionary device that could shape the future of laptops. And that’s just one of the products Microsoft is rumored to have lined up for its Surface event on Wednesday morning in New York, which is set to kick off at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

Regarding the revolutionary new device, multiple rumors have suggested that Microsoft will finally take the wraps off its foldable computer (codenamed Centaurus) during this event. According to Windows Central, the foldable will have two displays connected by a hinge, and Evan Blass says it will be powered by a new OS dubbed Windows 10X which is “designed for dual- and folding-screen devices” and runs desktop apps in “containers.”

That’s an incognito mode for Google Maps that will work just like it does in a web browser, only for navigation and location history. TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo always starts leaking information about Apple’s next-generation iPhone models about a year before they see the light of day, and that’s exactly what happened recently with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro series. What about the “iPhone 11s,” you ask? Well, it appears as though Apple is using the same strategy now that it used with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7. Since the 7 was something of a minor upgrade in terms of design, Apple skipped straight to the iPhone 8 and iPhone X the following year. Since the iPhone 11 is basically an iPhone XSS, It appears as though Apple is planning to jump straight to the iPhone 12 series next year and give us a major design overhaul for 2020.

No matter how much it hurts Android fans to hear it, Google has been copying the iPhone ever since the first Pixel came out, and the Pixel 4 does it also. And yes, Apple has taking stuff from Google too, but things are far from being even. Up until now, we thought that Google only adapted one iPhone feature for the Pixel 4 series — and Android. That’s 3D face recognition, something that hasn’t been done on phones before the iPhone X. It took two years for Google to pull 3D face recognition off, and Google is one of the few companies that tried to replicate Face ID — Xiaomi, Huawei, and LG did it with a few of their devices too. It turns out there’s one other tiny thing the Pixel 4 swipes from iOS, and that’s an app that’s been on iPhones for years. However, Google’s version of the app will be a lot better.
