You might not even realize it, but your cable company charges you a monthly fee just to use their modem. No, seriously, you have to pay a monthly fee just for the box you need in order to access the internet service that you already overpay for. It’s usually $10 a month, and it’s an absolute joke. Luckily, if you subscribe to any cable-based internet service, it’s easy to get rid of. All you have to do is pick up your own cable modem like the Motorola MB7420 Cable Modem and then send back the modem you have now. This model is compatible with every major cable ISP in the US and it supports blazing fast data speeds up to 686 Mbps. Best of all, it’s on sale right now at a discount on Amazon!

Huge Marvel leak says Iron Man will appear in at least one more movie

%name Huge Marvel leak says Iron Man will appear in at least one more movie by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Avengers: Endgame isn’t just the highest-grossing movie of all time, it’s also the MCU movie that marks the exit of three beloved characters, including Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Natasha Romanoff. The three actors who portrayed these characters for over a decade are done — or at least almost done — with their Marvel contracts. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have left Iron Man and Cap behind, and Scarlett Johansson has just one more movie to do, and that’s the Black Widow prequel coming next year. We know that Falcon will pick up where Captain America left off, and the Black Widow movie will probably introduce a new Black Widow hero for the Avengers. What hurts the most, of course, is that both Tony and Nat are dead, so there’s no way to bring them back. That said, a new leak suggests Downey Jr. will indeed somehow reprise his iconic Iron Man role at least one more time in the coming years.

Amazing wireless deal boasts plans as low as $15/mo for up to a year

%name Amazing wireless deal boasts plans as low as $15/mo for up to a year by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

This is a sponsored article and all content and opinions expressed within are of the author.

Signing a contract for a new phone plan can be a gigantic hassle. There’s always hidden charges lurking on the next page and the plan could change midway through its run if you go over a certain usage limit. And for those of us who aren’t glued to our phones constantly, why should we pay for data we aren’t using? Being locked into a contract means you’re stuck for over a year with no way out.

Now, you don’t have to worry about any of that noise, thanks to Mint Mobile. Mint Mobile offers simple mobile plans starting as low as $15/mo, all on the nation’s most advanced LTE network. You pay for what you need and only that. No more getting suckered into buying unlimited 4G data plans and then not being able to carry over unused data from month to month. Mint offers plans with 3GB, 8GB, or 12GB of 4G LTE data, so you can choose the amount that’s right for you. The unlimited talk and text helps to stay in touch with, if you’re like me, your mom who calls and texts you a lot.

How do they offer plans for $15/mo? They switched up the wireless industry model and went online only—surprise, those retail stores and overhead are expensive. They also introduced the concept of buying in bulk to your phone plan, where the more months you buy upfront, the lower your monthly rate. You can get a taste of their best monthly rate on the introductory 3-month plan. The best part is, if you’re loving your plan and the great coverage that’s provided, you can choose a longer plan and lock in their lowest price. For $15/mo, $180 upfront, you can get their 3GB/mo plan for 12 months and forget about your phone bill until next year. The 8GB/mo plan runs you $20/mo and the 12GB/mo plan comes in at $25/mo. Mint Mobile also gives you a free SIM card, unlike some companies who charge for new cards, and it has three different sizes (standard, micro, and nano) to fit whichever device you have. You also get the ability to turn your device into a mobile hotspot, all on the nation’s fastest network.

To me, it’s a very freeing feeling to know you’re not bogged down by a contract you can’t get out of. Switching to Mint means you only have to worry about shopping online for your wireless plan. It’s easy to do from anywhere, simply by heading to their website. One of the best things about Mint is that you can try it at almost no cost to you. Checking out a three-month plan gives you the freedom to give it a go and test it out for yourself. Their three-month plan costs about as much as another carrier’s plan would be for just a month. And they offer a seven-day, money-back guarantee, so there’s no harm in trying it out! You’re saving in the long run, no matter what!

But I know what you’re thinking: moving to a different carrier often times means having to change your phone number. Well, if your phone is compatible, Mint Mobile not only allows you to keep your phone number, they let you keep your phone! That’s right, you can keep the phone you love and the number that all your friends have (and your mom who might text or call too much.) If you want a new phone number, that’s fine too and it won’t cost you extra!

If you’re at all worried about switching up your carrier or have questions about what might be the best for you, Mint’s website is chock full of amazing information and they don’t hide behind any big fancy jargon. It’s simple to find the answers on the website, as I’ve enjoyed their helpful chat function that allows you to ask whatever you want. Plus, you can always check the FAQ section to find what you need. If you prefer speaking on the phone, you can easily call a sales rep or customer support who will answer any question you have.

So here’s how it works: First, you need to visit Mintmobile.com to see if their coverage is right for your area. Next, you’ll need to see if your device is compatible. Then, choose your plan. Once you sign up, they’ll send you a sim card kit and all you need to do is punch it off the kit, insert it into the phone, and activate it. Then you’re on your way to saving a ton of money on your wireless bill.

Here’s an overview of Mint Mobile’s $15/mo for 3 months offer:

  • 7-Day Money Back Guarantee— so you can get a taste of the Mint life risk-free!
  • 3 months of wireless service for $15/month (regular price $25/month)
  • 3GB of 4G LTE data per month; data speeds reduce after monthly allowance but data is unlimited
  • Unlimited talk, text and data delivered on the nation’s fastest, most advanced 4G LTE network
  • Includes FREE international calls to Mexico and Canada
  • BYOP program that allows you to bring your own unlocked GSM phone
  • Mobile HotSpot: turn your device into a WiFi hotspot
  • WiFi Talk & Text: Send calls and texts without full network coverage when you’re on WiFi!

Start saving by switching to Mint Mobile and get unlimited talk and text for as low as $15/mo.

Pixel 4 rumored to have another great feature that’s missing from the iPhone 11

%name Pixel 4 rumored to have another great feature that’s missing from the iPhone 11 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Since the inception of the Pixel line, Google has been playing catchup with the iPhone, as each new model proved more conclusively that the iPhone was the obvious inspiration for Google’s premium phones. The first Pixel looked a lot like the iPhone 7; the second-gen dumped the 3.5mm headphone jack just like the iPhone did a year earlier; the Pixel 3 XL came with a notch, albeit a much uglier one that what Apple did, and Android 9 replicated the iPhone X’s new navigation gestures. With the Pixel 4, Google will copy even more of Apple’s iPhone design playbook, bringing 3D face authentication to the Pixel line alongside native Android support for the feature (two years after the iPhone X), as well as a multi-lens camera on the back (several years after the iPhone). But the Pixel 4 will also introduce a feature that the iPhone 11 doesn’t have, and that’s the Project Soli radar-based gesture support that’s already confirmed for the handset. Now, a brand new leak tells us the Pixel 4 might have one more advantage over the iPhone 11 this year.

Revolutionary iPhone tech that took 5 years to develop was just abandoned by Apple after only 4 years

%name Revolutionary iPhone tech that took 5 years to develop was just abandoned by Apple after only 4 years by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

There’s no question whatsoever that 3D Touch is the most underappreciated technologies Apple has introduced in the past decade, but that’s no one’s fault but Apple’s. It’s a complex and compelling technology that uses special sensors built into the iPhone’s display. These sensors are able to measure the amount of pressure that is applied when someone touches the phone’s screen, and then Apple’s iOS software can trigger different reactions based on the amount of pressure. For example, lightly tapping an icon on the iPhone’s home screen will open the app, but pressing firmly on the icon will open a menu of shortcuts and even a widget.

When Apple develops exciting new technologies like this for its iPhones, the company’s rivals typically trip over themselves racing to copy it. But in the case of 3D Touch, no other company managed to pull it off and use it widely. Interestingly though, it might not be that Apple’s rivals were unable to copy 3D Touch. It might simply be that they realized this particular technology isn’t very useful at all. And now, just 4 years since 3D Touch was first introduced on the iPhone 6s, Apple has come to the same conclusion.
