Deepfake apps that let you insert your face into videos or photos, are nothing new, but a Chinese developer created an application for iPhone that lets you superimpose your face in clips in as little as 8 seconds. Called Zao, the app became viral in China over the weekend, but not solely because it works so well. The face-swap app received near-instant criticism for its privacy policy that gives the developer ownership of all user-generated content.

Hurricane Dorian is now the most powerful storm on the planet, meeting all the criteria for weather experts to declare it a Category 5 hurricane. With the potential to devastate the East Coast of the United States, the storm has prompted evacuations and forced many local governments to declare states of emergency before it even arrives.

The outer bands of the storm are just beginning to whip against the Florida coast, and things are sure to get messy in a hurry. This past Friday, we told you that you had one last chance to take advantage of a killer deal that would get you Disney’s hotly-anticipated Disney+ streaming service for less than $4 per month. The service is set to launch in November just ahead of the holidays, and it will be priced normally at $6.99 per month. Truth be told, Disney’s upcoming new streaming service is still an incredible value at twice that amount, so $7 is a steal. You get unlimited access to hundreds and hundreds of hours of Disney content that can’t be streamed anywhere else, including Disney movies and shows, Pixar movies, and all the blockbuster films that Marvel Studios has released over the past decade. Netflix released its full schedule of new September 2019 premieres a couple of weeks ago, and it also revealed all the content that can currently be found in its catalog that will be removed over the course of the month. But many people aren’t really interested in all the movies and shows from third-party studios that the service is adding and they only want to see the full slate of new Netflix original series, movies, and specials set to premiere each month. August was a big month for Netflix original content, with 56 different original movies, shows, and specials having premiered over the course of the month. Top Netflix originals that were released in August include MINDHUNTER season 2, 13 Reasons Why season 3, and the first season of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which reviewers and Netflix subscribers have all been lauding. But the most hotly anticipated Netflix originals coming out in September are definitely the gut-wrenching crime drama Unbelievable and the dark comedy The Politician, which both look like they’re going to be fantastic.
