Over the years, Apple has patched countless holes that have been used to allow iOS devices to be jailbroken, and it seems that for every fix the company rolls out, there’s yet another way to get around it. Most of the known exploits remain firmly closed once Apple addresses them, but the surprising release of an iOS 12.4 jailbreak over the weekend highlights one of the rare cases in which Apple seems to have reopened a glaring hole itself.

As noted jailbreak developer GeoSn0w chronicles in a series of tweets and a YouTube video, it seems that the jailbreak community has stumbled upon a serious misstep by Apple, and an exploit that allowed for jailbreaking on devices running 12.1.2 — but was patched in 12.2 and 12.3 — somehow works again on iOS 12.4. Yikes.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is so huge and interconnected that fans will inevitably find various discrepancies that need to be dealt with. One of them is a rather large Star Wars paradox that came about in the first Spider-Man film, and was further cemented by Avengers: Infinity War. While Apple TV+ has understandably generated the most buzz when it comes to Apple’s upcoming services, it wasn’t the only service that Apple unveiled back in March. The other standout was a game subscription service called Apple Arcade, and although the company hasn’t shared any additional information since the March media event, the first pieces of information appear to have leaked this week, including the monthly price.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple Arcade will cost $4.99 a month after a one-month free trial. The Apple blog managed to get into the early access program for the service, and then happened upon an API within the App Store app featuring a promotional message which showed the $4.99 monthly price.

Officials at a Colorado wildlife refuge are cautiously moving forward with a plan to reopen parts of their facility this week in the wake of a plague outbreak amongst prairie dogs in the area. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge was shut down after plague-infected prairie dogs were found weeks ago, and parts of the refuge will remain closed to visitors even as the location reopens its doors to the public.

The refuge, which spans nearly 16,000 acres, is typically open for tourists to come and enjoy the natural splendor, but that changed in late July when park officials decided to lock the doors as they dealt with the plague-ridden animals.
