Soon after the dust settled from Comic-Con 2019, it became clear that the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have no Avengers, Guardians or Spider-Man sequels. Instead, we’re getting the first Disney+ TV shows that will be integrated into the MCU, a few new heroes, and sequel movies for other franchises. I told you not too long ago that Marvel will definitely make more Avengers movies, but that it first needs some time to allow the new heroes to develop some more. After all, Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow were all retired after Endgame.

This brings us to the latest Avengers rumor that tells us Marvel is cooking up what could be a massive Avengers 5 movie. However, we’ll need to wait until Phase 6 or even later to see it. And no, this isn’t the mysterious “big” Disney+ MCU show that Marvel is supposed to announce soon.

Let me make clear, right off the bat, that I intend to sign up for Apple’s new premium TV offering on day one and will give more than one of its shows a try as the company makes its first attempt at grabbing a piece of the streaming TV pie. Unfortunately, the trailer Apple released Monday morning for The Morning Show, one of the presumably strongest titles in its slate of programming based on the strength of the cast alone, doesn’t necessarily have me excited at the prospect of doing so.

Which is not to say I’m turned off, either, at this first footage released from the series that goes behind the scenes at a fictional morning show and stars Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, and Reese Witherspoon. Watch the trailer above and see what you think — I’m neither hot nor cold about it, I guess is what I’m saying, partly because the trailer seems to be not sure what kind of show it’s teasing.

August 19th marks the end of the temporary reprieve the US government gave Huawei after banning its access to American products, including hardware components as well as software licenses it needs to manufacture and sell all sorts of devices. But that doesn’t mean Huawei will no longer be able to conduct business with US-based partners, as the Commerce Department was expected on Monday to extend the reprieve by several months. Apple will undoubtedly still have a few surprises left in store when it unveils its new iPhone 11 lineup next month, but most of what is discussed on stage that day will be old news. In fact, we already know exactly when Apple will reveal the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro handsets (September 10th), when they’ll go up for preorder (September 13th), and when they’ll be released online and in stores (September 20th). The two flagship models, which are rumored to be called the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max (ugh) will look almost exactly like their predecessors, but they’ll feature a new triple-lens rear camera like the one shown in the render above. Then, the entry-level iPhone 11 model will have a similar square camera array, but with two lenses instead of three. We’re also expecting new frosted class on the back and even a new color option for the iPhone 11 Pro models, plus a big boost in performance, of course.

That’s all well and good, but it’s also pretty boring if we’re being honest. Apple’s 2019 iPhone 11 lineup will sport a notch and an 80-something percent screen-to-body ratio when Android vendors are already toying with new form factors and making all-screen smartphones with ratios above 95%.
