Watch Japan’s asteroid probe touch down on asteroid Ryugu

Japanese space agency JAXA has had an up-close-and-personal relationship with the asteroid known as Ryugu ever since its Hayabusa-2 spacecraft entered orbit around the space rock in June of last year. The probe shot two separate projectiles at the asteroid and successfully snagged a pair of material samples. Its most recent (and daring) maneuver was carried out on July 11th, and now we have video from the probe showing how things played out.

The strategy was simple: blow a hole in Ryugu to obtain pristine samples of the material that rests just beneath the asteroid’s surface. Actually setting down on the asteroid to grab the sample, however, is easier said than done. Thankfully, JAXA and its trust spacecraft pulled it off.

The consequences of the US ban of Huawei products have actually been more far-reaching than previously realized, according to a new report Monday that makes clear Huawei had been working with Google for more than a year on a smart speaker that would have been Huawei’s first to include the Google Assistant. That is until the ban forced work on the device, which would have been sold in the US later this year, to suddenly come to a halt.

Oftentimes when a product recall warrants a health risk rating of “High” by the U.S. Government the food contains something dangerous. Sometimes it’s foreign matter, like wood or rubber, which could cause some serious issues if consumes. However, unintended ingredients can be just as dangerous, especially if a person is allergic to whatever accidentally found its way into a particular food product.

That’s exactly what happened with a whole bunch of frozen meatballs from Home Market Foods, Inc., which just issued a recall for a whopping 53,217 pounds of frozen meatballs. Why such a huge recall? The hunks of meat don’t contain weird foreign matter, but rather cranberries.

Prepare to be shocked at how many food delivery drivers confess to snacking on orders

%name Prepare to be shocked at how many food delivery drivers confess to snacking on orders by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In a development that may or may not shock you, it seems that a not-insignificant number of food delivery drivers have been known to steal a bite of your order every now and then.

That’s the takeaway from a new survey conducted by US Foods which found that almost 30 percent of drivers surveyed — who deliver for all the big apps you’d expect, like UberEats, Grubhub, DoorDash, and Postmates — said they’ve helped themselves to at least a bite of a customer’s order before. Just as worryingly, more than half of the drivers surveyed said they thought about doing so after just taking a whiff of the order.

The International Space Station just dumped a bunch of trash on Earth, but it’s totally fine

%name The International Space Station just dumped a bunch of trash on Earth, but it’s totally fine by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It’s been a busy few days at the International Space Station. The orbiting laboratory just took delivery of a new shipment of cargo from Earth (launched last week via a SpaceX Falcon 9), and the crew is busy unpacking all the new toys and materials they just received. They also sent a Russian cargo ship packing, but it won’t actually be returning to Earth.

Early this morning, the docking compartment on the Russian section of the ISS released the Progress 72 cargo spacecraft which had been hanging out for roughly four months. It was sent with a full complement of supplies for the crew, and when it was released it was quite literally full of trash.

%name The 16 inch MacBook Pro the same size as the 15 inch model, so it could be ‘all screen’ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Remember when Apple claimed that the iPhone X was “all screen”? Well it wasn’t, but the company’s upcoming new MacBook Pro might get the same marketing treatment.

Apple is widely expected to launch a next-generation MacBook Pro version this year with the biggest screen seen on an Apple laptop since the 17-inch model was discontinued a few years ago. That’s the 16-inch MacBook Pro that’s been appearing in more and more rumors and leaks lately. A brand new report now reveals an interesting detail about the upcoming device that will make it even more appealing to buyers: The 16-inch screen will be mounted inside the same aluminum unibody chassis as the current 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Leak reveals how Samsung will compensate for ditching the headphone jack on the Galaxy Note 10

%name Leak reveals how Samsung will compensate for ditching the headphone jack on the Galaxy Note 10 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

After years of defending the aging audio port — and mocking Apple for ditching it — Samsung is finally ready to follow Apple’s lead and remove the dedicated headphone jack. The Galaxy Note 10 will be the company’s first flagship to ship without a 3.5mm port, and that’s hardly a secret given that everything about this handset has already leaked. But Samsung will have several remedies in place for buyers, including new USB-C headphones and a USB-C-to-3.5mm dongle, according to reports. On top of that, a new leak suggests that early buyers might get free wireless Galaxy Buds earphones, as was the case with the Galaxy S10 a few months ago.
