The FDA is one of the more vital government agencies when it comes to keeping consumers safe from deceptive marketing and dangerous products, but sometimes a product comes along that we can assume is trash even before the FDA weighs in. In any case, the Food and Drug Administration just issued a warning advising everyone to avoid a male enhancement supplement called — sigh — “Big Penis.”

It seems that Big Penis does indeed do its job, and it does it quite well. However, the FDA warns that it achieves this thanks to the unlabeled inclusion of sildenafil, better known by the brand name Viagra.

Nintendo a few days ago unveiled its second Switch console, the Switch Lite that’s all about handheld gameplay, featuring no support whatsoever for TVs. Soon after that, the company quietly confirmed that a hardware refresh of the regular Switch will be released in the coming weeks. The first and only new feature of the 2019 refresh is improved battery life. Other internal components may have also been upgraded to facilitate the battery life gains, but we have no idea what there are. The hardware refresh is obviously minor, which means the console still looks the same. So if you haven’t bought a Switch yet and you plan to do so in the coming months, you’ll have to pay special attention to make sure you end up purchasing the new one and not the old one.

Apple rollout of iOS 13 beta 3 was a bit rocky, with the subsequent public beta not dropping until a full week later, but the rollout of the latest beta appears to be going more smoothly. iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 public beta 3 arrived on time this week, without any mysterious delays or waves of bug reports from users with developer accounts.

Some of the improvements in the latest iOS beta release include a new icon for voice messages in the Messages app, smaller app menus on the Home screen, a new Rearrange Apps button when you long-press an app, better 3D Touch performance, and a much needed fix for the security issue that arose in the last beta.

This may have been the biggest twist in Game of Thrones history, one that we certainly didn’t see coming. The biggest villains from the show aren’t any of the characters, of course, but rather showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss who took just one season to ruin the best show in TV history. They do deserve credit for making the most epic show in TV history too, but that doesn’t change the fact that season 8 was a complete and utter failure. There are plenty of good things about the final season, and the way everything ends isn’t the problem. It’s the rush to get there that destroys so many years of hard work, as well as the many uninspired plot decisions that defy logic and common sense. Even still, the show got a record number of Emmy nominations, with Benioff and Weiss having been nominated for the writing of season 8’s finale, which is obviously a bit baffling. Despite the Emmy nom, however, the duo will not make their scheduled appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this week, and there’s no explanation for it (apart from the obvious).
