The Galaxy Note 10 will come in two sizes, several reports have claimed in the past, and each one will get its own 5G variant. However, all these phones will be pretty expensive at launch, especially the 5G versions. That’s what Samsung did with the Galaxy S10 series this year, whose 5G option is the costliest S10 option in stores right now. More budget-minded buyers can purchase the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G or the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, but these devices aren’t available in all markets where 5G networks have been turned on. That said, Samsung is also working on a cheaper 5G phone that will be part of the Galaxy A series of mid-range devices. It’s been almost 42 years since NASA sent its two Voyager spacecraft on record-breaking missions, and both of the decades-old robots are still alive. Voyager 1 and 2 are 13.5 billion and 11.1 billion miles from Earth, respectively, and it’s up to NASA engineers to ensure they remain up and running for as long as possible.

As the agency reveals in a new update, mission managers recently decided to shut down one of the heaters on Voyager 2 which is designed to keep its cosmic ray subsystem (CRS) instrument at a comfortable temperature. This was done to conserve energy, but the CRS itself miraculously still works, despite dipping well below the temperatures it was tested at over four decades ago.

While the Autopilot capability of Tesla vehicles has improved markedly over time, the Autopilot team responsible for delivering said capabilities has long seemed to be plagued by dysfunction. Going back to 2017, there were credible reports that the team was losing top engineers at a rapid clip. Even at the top, Tesla seemed unable to keep an Autopilot chief around for a meaningful period of time.

As a prime example, you may recall that former Apple engineer Chris Lattner left Apple to head up Tesla’s Autopilot team, only to leave the position a few months later. Indeed, it wasn’t all that long ago that Tesla’s Autopilot team saw a total of three different leaders in under two years. Suffice it to say, job stability doesn’t appear to be something one would associate with Tesla’s Autopilot team.

A fire at a SpaceX prototyping facility on Monday did as much as $100,000 in damage, according to reports from local news sources and agencies quoting fire department estimates. The fire, which occurred at SpaceX location in Cocoa, Florida, is interesting in its own right, but the initial report actually raises more questions than it answers.

Florida Today, which quotes both SpaceX spokesperson James Gleeson and Cocoa city spokesperson Yvonne Martinez in its report, notes that fire crews initially placed the estimate for damages at a whopping $650,000, but walked back that number after learning that the fire that broke out on Monday wasn’t the first fire at the facility.

AT&T is back on top as the fastest wireless network in America, according to new results released Tuesday from Ookla, the maker of the popular Speedtest utility.

However, there are a number of familiar qualifiers that need to be pointed out as soon as that result is mentioned. First, the results only measure a snapshot of a moment in time — in this case, Q1-Q2 2019. Also, Ookla’s results are generated via crowd-sourced testing, which has limitations compared to roadtests. Which isn’t to say that either is the best or even that either one will give you an unimpeachable result. It’s just that, as with most measurements of quality, there are important caveats to be aware of.
