Apple may launch three 5G iPhones in 2020, as well as a cheap iPhone 8 replacement

%name Apple may launch three 5G iPhones in 2020, as well as a cheap iPhone 8 replacement by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Apple will launch three new iPhones this September: The direct successors to the iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 series, as we’ve been calling it, will look a lot like the 2018 smartphones when it comes to screen design. The major change concerns the rear panel, as the phones are all getting new camera systems featuring an extra lens compared to their predecessors.

None of these phones will have 5G connectivity, and they should cost the same as their predecessors. However, Apple is supposedly working on 5G iPhones, as well as a cheaper iPhone model, for 2020.

Galaxy Note 10’s signature feature prevents it from being a much better phone, insider claims

%name Galaxy Note 10’s signature feature prevents it from being a much better phone, insider claims by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

When the Galaxy Note launched in 2011, it had two outstanding features that helped it stand out from the crowd of Android handsets that tried to compete against the iPhone. The Note had a bigger screen than anything else available, and it packed a built-in stylus, the S Pen. Fast-forward to 2019, and the Note series lost one of its advantages over rivals. Screen tech advancements allowed smartphone vendors to significantly reduce bezels and extend the screen all the way to the corners. That’s why screen size is no longer an advantage for the Galaxy Note — in fact, the Note 10 is already expected to come in two distinct display sizes. But the S Pen is still there, complete with more advanced features than before. However, that stylus will apparently prevent the Galaxy Note 10 from being a much better phone.

The best-looking foldable phone of the year might launch sooner than expected

%name The best looking foldable phone of the year might launch sooner than expected by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold might be the first foldable phone announced this year, but it will not be the first to hit stores. The phone’s original late April launch was canceled after reviewers discovered durability issues with the display, and Samsung went back to the drawing board. Repairs have been made, recent reports said, but the phone might not hit stores sooner than the holiday shopping season. A few days after Samsung unveiled its first foldable phone ever, Huawei came out with the Mate X handset, and it was clear to anyone following the news the Mate X was easily the best-looking foldable of early 2019. Huawei postponed the Mate X launch a few weeks ago, but it looks like the phone will hit stores soon, at least in China.

Father-son duo is 3D printing a Lamborghini for science

%name Father son duo is 3D printing a Lamborghini for science by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

For most people, dreaming about owning a Lamborghini is about as close as they’ll realistically get to having one in their driveway. Supercars are pricey and not terribly practical, but that doesn’t make them any less desirable, so physicist Sterling Backus decided to leverage the power to science to make his dream a reality.

Backus isn’t buying his Lamborghini. He’s not trading for it or stealing it either. He and his son are actually building it, one 3D-printed piece at a time. The vehicle, which is coming together quite nicely, was born out of a desire to teach kids that science can be cool, according to its creator.

Whether you binge-watched Stranger Things 3 the day it dropped on Netflix, or you’ve decided to savor it at a slower pace, you need to check out Microsoft’s clever collaboration with the streaming service to bring the world of the show to your Windows 10 PC. In case you weren’t aware, the third season of Stranger Things takes place in 1985, which just so happens to be the same year that Microsoft released Windows 1.0.

The technology giant began teasing a crossover promotion of some nature last week, and then on Monday released a free app that tasks you with helping to save Hawkins, Indiana (and the world) by delving into computer files on what is fashioned to look like a computer screen you might have seen in the mid-80s.

Back in December Google CEO Sundar Pichai conceded during a session with members of Congress that the company could “do better” when it comes to helping users understand what steps to take to better protect their privacy. Unfortunately, it seems the company could also do a lot better when it comes to just, you know, actually protecting that privacy.
