With the release of iOS 12 last year, Apple took something of a measured approach and decided to focus on improving overall system stability as opposed to bombarding users with new features. In turn, it’s no surprise that iOS 13 — which Apple unveiled earlier this month at WWDC — is an enormous upgrade packed with a ton of compelling and useful features for iPhone and iPad users.

After releasing the first iOS 13 beta a few weeks ago, Apple earlier today released iOS 13 beta 2. Notably, developers found the first iOS 13 beta to be somewhat stable relative to previous iOS betas, though there is definitely no shortage of wonky bugs and system issues to be found.

Being chosen to be part of a crew aboard the International Space Station is an incredible honor, and while heading to the orbiting laboratory means you have a busy few months ahead of you, living in space is something that only a tiny fraction of mankind will ever experience. It also apparently provides you with some very interesting photo opportunities.

Current ISS resident and NASA astronaut Christina Koch has been aboard the space station since mid-March, and she’s already participated in her first spacewalk. Everyone on the space station is kept quite busy with scientific research and spacecraft maintenance, but Koch found some time recently to capture an absolutely stunning image of an aurora as seen from high above.

NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft has been orbiting the space rock known as Bennu since the start of the year. It caught up with the asteroid in late December of 2018 and successfully inserted itself into orbit around the object around New Year’s day. There have been several “firsts” along the way, but its latest maneuver is the most daring yet, and it allowed the spacecraft to break yet another record.

A recent tweak to its orbit has brought the probe to an orbit of just 680 meters, or around 2,230 feet from the asteroid’s surface. This is now the closest that any manmade spacecraft has orbited any planetary body.

Apple makes it a point with every product announcement to stress security and privacy features. Leaks concerning this fall’s upcoming iPhone models continue to trickle out at a steady pace, but some analysts are already looking ahead to 2020. In a research note shared with AnTuTu (via MacRumors), TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed new details about the prospective 2020 smartphone lineup from Apple.

According to Kuo, Apple will once again release three iPhone models in 2020, but will make significant changes to the designs of the high-end models. The successors to the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max will supposedly feature 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, and will both support 5G. The iPhone 11R follow-up will retain a 6.1-inch display, but Kuo believes that all three models will have OLED screens in 2020.
