When you’re talking flagship smartphones, devices like the iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy S series typically garner most, if not all, of the attention. Over the past few years, though, Google has made impressive strides with its Pixel line. Especially with the launch of Night Sight mode a few months back, the PIxel 3 quickly catapulted itself into the upper echelon of the smartphone market.

For as compelling as the Pixel 3 is, Google is seemingly prepared to take things to the next level with the launch of its next-gen Pixel. And with the release date now less than 6 months away, we’ve started to see a steady stream of Pixel 4 leaks emerge over the past few weeks.

Apple releases iOS 12.3.2 for iPhone and iPad with a fix for an annoying bug

%name Apple releases iOS 12.3.2 for iPhone and iPad with a fix for an annoying bug by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’re all anxious for iOS 13 following Apple’s big reveal at WWDC last week, but the iPhone maker still isn’t finished with iOS 12 quite yet. On Monday, Apple rolled out iOS 12.3.2, which appears to be little more than a bug fix for select iPhone 8 Plus users that have been experiencing issues with Portrait mode depth effects.

With just a few months to go until iOS 13 launches this fall, it seems likely that iOS 12.4 (and any subsequent 12.4 releases) will be the end of the line for iOS 12. Several betas have already rolled for iOS 12.4, and other than support for the Apple Card, there don’t appear to be many significant changes to the operating system.

CDs have pretty much already gone the way of the dinosaur. In fact, most cards don’t even come with CD players anymore. Not all physical media is dead when it comes to music though, because vinyl is making a huge comeback. People love how retro vinyl records are, and nothing sounds quite like a record. If you want to enjoy the past but also drag your vinyl records into the future, we’ve got just the thing. The Sony PS-LX310BT Fully Automatic Wireless Vinyl Record Player with Bluetooth is our favorite record player by far, featuring both Bluetooth and wired audio outputs so you can connect it to any system you want!

NASA’s lunar lander was just rediscovered after being lost in space for 50 years

%name NASA’s lunar lander was just rediscovered after being lost in space for 50 years by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Back in 1969 NASA was in the middle of the biggest space race in human history. The Apollo 10 mission was a huge milestone in NASA’s adventure from the Earth to the Moon, and the ‘Snoopy’ lunar module traveled close the Moon’s surface before heading back to the command module where it docked and was subsequently jettisoned.

Snoopy tumbled through space and was, like many pieces of space hardware that have outlived their usefulness, lost. That is, until a team of researchers decided to try to find it. Now, after looking through an absolutely immense amount of observational data, astronomer Nick Howes says he thinks Snoopy has been found once again.

iOS 13 will show you a map of locations where apps have tracked you

%name iOS 13 will show you a map of locations where apps have tracked you by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

One of the main themes of Apple’s WWDC 2019 keynote last week was privacy. Apple unveiled several new features for its various operating systems showing a renewed commitment to privacy at a time where its rivals are also making user privacy a top priority. Location data also came up during the presentation, with Apple unveiling a new location-specific feature that lets you instruct an app to use your location information only once. After that, the app will have to keep asking each time it wants to track you. On top of that, Apple will show you a map of the location data an app has acquired, as well as an explanation of why each particular app needs access to your location.
