A real-life photo of Samsung’s unreleased Galaxy S10+ just leaked

%name A real life photo of Samsung’s unreleased Galaxy S10+ just leaked by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 was one of the sleekest and most powerful smartphones released in 2018. It was also incredibly boring since it looked exactly like the Galaxy S8 from back in 2017, and it packed no new marquee features whatsoever. Sales have plummeted as a result, and some estimates suggest that the Galaxy S9 series will be the worst-selling Galaxy S phone line since all the way back in 2012. Samsung’s earnings have obviously taken a big hit as a result, but the company is looking to turn things around right out of the gate in 2019 with multiple upcoming phone launches that have Android fans buzzing.

The most novel new smartphone Samsung is set to launch in 2019 is the “Galaxy F” phone with a foldable OLED display. This handset will reportedly be released sometime in the second quarter of the year, and it has definitely piqued plenty of interest so far. But the biggest launch out of Samsung in the first half will take place next month when the company finally takes the wraps off of its new Galaxy S10 flagship smartphone lineup. We still have just over a month to wait before those phones are made official, but a new leak that just hit the web on Tuesday morning should help tide us over while we wait for the phones to be made official.

Yet another blood pressure medication has been recalled over cancer-causing impurity

%name Yet another blood pressure medication has been recalled over cancer causing impurity by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Last year, the FDA announced a whole bunch of recalls related to blood pressure medication over fears that an impurity created during the manufacturing process could lead to cancer. The compound in question was found in dozens of prescription medications that contained the active ingredient valsartan, prompting several distributors and manufacturers to issue voluntary recalls affecting countless heart patients.

Now, additional medications containing a similar blood pressure drug, irbesartan, have been found to contain the same impurity, and a new round of recalls is upon us. Solco Healthcare LLC is now asking anyone with potentially contaminated medication to stop taking the drug.

WSJ: Every iPhone next year will ditch LCDs for OLED displays

%name WSJ: Every iPhone next year will ditch LCDs for OLED displays by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Two of the three new iPhones that Apple released last September feature OLED screens like the one found in the first iPhone X handset. But the cheaper iPhone XR features an LCD screen, a move that helped Apple reduce the manufacturing costs for this model. In 2019, Apple is expected to launch three new phones that will be the direct successors of these handsets, keeping in place the same strategy when it comes to displays. OLED screens will be used for the premium iPhones, while the iPhone XR successor should feature an LCD screen. Next year, however, Apple will reportedly equip all new iPhones with OLED displays.

The iPhone app that stops those horrible spam calls just got a great new feature

%name The iPhone app that stops those horrible spam calls just got a great new feature by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Earlier this month, we told you about an app that sadly has become a must-have for pretty much anyone with a cell phone. The issue of spam calls is a problem that continues to get worse and worse, and it seems like nothing you do has an impact. This particular app is actually quite effective though, and it remains effective by keeping things simple. Spam blocking services from carriers don’t seem to help all that much, and even paid subscription services like Nomorobo only stop a small fraction of spam calls. So when there’s a simple app that costs next to nothing and actually has a significant impact on blocking the menace that is spam calling, we’re definitely going to do our best to spread the word.

When we last covered this nifty app, we mentioned two key features that had to be added in order for the app to truly be as effective as possible. Now, thanks to a recent update that was first released last week, one of those key features has already arrived.
