It’s looking like the first round of footage from Disney’s The Mandalorian, the upcoming Star Wars spinoff series that will be exclusive to Disney’s not-yet-launched streaming TV service, is only a few months away from finally getting a public airing.

The upcoming Star Wars Celebration fan gathering set for April 11 through April 15 in Chicago is reportedly the venue Disney has chosen to show off the first trailer for The Mandalorian, which is being overseen by director Jon Favreau. That event will follow Disney’s investor day on April 11, at which the entertainment giant is expected to show off footage from a variety of the content headed to its Disney+ streaming service that will be launched later this year. Other exclusive content Disney is planning for the service — which will be home to movies and TV shows from Pixar, Marvel and other brands under the Disney corporate umbrella — include spinoff series about other characters from Star Wars as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Determining the length of a single day on a planet is usually pretty easy. You just pick a landmark and wait for it to reach the exact same point twice in its rotation and you have your answer. For astronomers studying Saturn, it’s not nearly as easy as that.

Saturn doesn’t have any easily visible landmarks to track, and its gassy atmosphere doesn’t offer many hints as to how fast it’s actually rotating. On top of that, its magnetic field also hides the speed at which the body spins. Researchers were at a loss as to how to track the planet’s rotation, but using data from NASA’s Cassini spacecraft the code was finally cracked.

The intrigue surrounding the Porsche Taycan — formerly known as the Mission E — has been steadily building since Porsche first announced the all-electric car back in late 2015. Slated to go on sale later this year, the Taycan is essentially Porsche’s answer to Tesla’s Model S and interest in the forthcoming luxury car appears to be substantial.

Just a few weeks ago, for example, Porsche Cars North America CEO Klaus Zellmer said that the Taycan is already attracting a lot of interest from Tesla owners, an interesting revelation given that Zellmer in 2017 conceded that the Model S was having an impact on overall Porsche sales.

Sharks have been around for a long, long time, and of all the creatures that roam the Earth today they’re one of the few that have remained largely unchanged for tens of millions of years. A newly discovered species of ancient shark which swam the oceans at the same time the mighty T. rex lumbered on land was just given a very nerdy name, and it’s all thanks to its teeth.

The new species, named Galagadon nordquistae, is long gone. In fact, there’s virtually nothing left of the species at all, and paleontologists are left to guess what the creature looked like based only on its teeth.

Despite losing ground to Apple Music in the United States, Spotify is still the biggest music streaming service in the world. That said, it is still missing a few key features, but one of those missing features is finally in the testing phase. On Monday, Thurrott reported that members of Spotify’s beta program recently gained the ability to block an artist on the platform, which means that you’ll never see their music appear on Spotify again.

According to Thurrott, once you block an artist, their music will no longer appear in your personal library, playlists, charts, radio stations, or anywhere else. You aren’t even able to manually play a song from a blocked artist — you have to unblock them first. The only exception seems to be tracks on which the artist features.

For the past few months, we’ve witnessed an increasing number of Galaxy S10 rumors, revealing almost everything fans of the series would want to know about the phone. Report after report told us the same story: Samsung will have three distinct 4G Galaxy S10 models in stores this spring, including a phone with a flat screen. All three will feature Infinity-O screens and multi-lens cameras, and the premium models will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.

We then learned more details about the phone’s specs, including camera, storage, and battery details, and we saw plenty of leaked benchmarks.
