Following the Apple Watch’s debut, people made a big deal out of the idea that the device’s battery would only last about a day on each charge. Of course, it’s hardly a problem since the Watch isn’t in use while its owner sleeping, but the fact remains that batteries are still the biggest barrier standing between us and the ideal gadget experience. Every piece of portable electronics we use, from phones and tablets to laptops and cameras, needs to be charged.

There are good police officers, and there are bad ones — it’s like anything else. Good cops devote their lives to protecting law-abiding citizens, and they work within the confines of the law. Bad cops cut corners, abuse their power and operate with reckless abandon. Unfortunately for a 22-year-old Philadelphia man identified as Tyree Carroll, he encountered about a dozen officers who fall into the latter group earlier this year.

Google is largely expected to launch two Nexus smartphones this year, something the company has never done in the past. According to many unconfirmed reports, LG and Huawei have been chosen to create the devices, which include a 5.2-inch smartphone and a larger 5.7-inch phablet.
A new report indicates that Huawei might indeed be the first Chinese company to partner with Google on new Nexus Android phones, and it tells us when we can expect the new device to be released.

Addiction isn’t the only side-effect of owning a smart gadget such as a phone or tablet. The more we use them, especially phones, the more we’re endangering our health. Various studies have already shown the negative effects these devices have on our posture, and there’s even a neurological condition that can be caused by overusing a smartphone.

Apple’s initial public release of iOS 8 last fall wasn’t exactly the most stable mobile software build the company has pushed out in recent years. It offered a fantastic user experience overall, but there were definitely some annoying bugs that put a damper on things.
iOS 8.4 is far more stable and refined than its predecessors, but no software is completely free of bugs. Thankfully, we now know how to squash one of iOS 8.4’s most annoying ones.

As we’ve seen countless times in the past, neither iOS nor Android is objectively “better” than the other — both platforms have pluses and minuses and there are legitimate reasons for people to choose either one.
