Our trusted sources have told us that Apple was set to release iOS 9 beta 3 on Tuesday, but a serious bug was discovered and it had to be fixed. The repaired build will likely be released later today, we’re told.

When it comes to iPhone sales, Apple never goes backwards. The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that people familiar with the matter say Apple is asking its manufacturers to produce between 85-90 million units of the upcoming iPhone 6s before the end of the year, a record number for the smartphone maker.

Regardless of what you think of Apple Music as a service, there’s no question that the family share plan is an incredible value. For just $5 more than the standard monthly price, you can add up to five additional members to your subscription, each with their own personal libraries, playlists and recommendations.
Tidal apparently took notice, as the oft-maligned platform is planning to implement its own family share plan. Unfortunately (but perhaps unsurprisingly), Jay Z and co. managed to miss the point of the family plan entirely.

Just when you thought you were safe, a new hacking toy comes along and rocks your world. Imagine a tool exists that lets hackers pluck encryption keys from your laptop right out of the air. You can’t stop it by connecting to protected Wi-Fi networks or even disabling Wi-Fi completely. Turning off Bluetooth also won’t help you protect yourself.
Why? Because the tiny device that can easily be hidden in an object or taped to the underside of a table doesn’t use conventional communications to pull off capers. Instead it reads radio waves emitted by your computer’s processor, and there’s really nothing you can do to stop it.

Microsoft’s dreams of competing with iOS and Android in the mass consumer smartphone market are officially dead. Microsoft on Wednesday announced a major restructuring of its hardware division that will include layoffs of 7,800 employees “primarily in the phone business.” Instead of trying to appeal to the mass market, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said on Wednesday that the company is narrowing its focus to three distinct markets.

Samsung is widely expected to release two new phablets in the coming months, including the fifth-generation Galaxy Note flagship as well as the first ever Galaxy S phablet – currently believed to be named Galaxy S6 edge Plus. While no one on the outside knows exactly what’s going on behind closed doors, it appears as though AT&T still has some work to put in if it hopes to get its $50 billion DirecTV merger proposal approved by regulators. The company had already made some promises in an effort to win favor with the Federal Communications Commission, including a promise to deliver gigabit U-verse Internet service to nearly 12 million households, but now we’ve reached a new phase of bargaining that was probably inevitable: AT&T has a deal for poor people that it hopes is too good for regulators to pass up.

When your puppies kill and devour your pet chickens, it might be a good time to ask yourself whether you’re raising dogs or a different kind of animal.
