In a sign of the times, Utah Valley University has marked a stairwell in its student center with areas specifically designated for texters. Though the stair design is intended to be equal parts art and equal parts function, there’s no denying that we, as a society, may very well be headed down a path where ‘texting lanes’ are necessary.

I’ve never been able to get into AMC’s The Walking Dead. I’ve played through Telltale’s adventure game series, I’ve read a bunch of the comics, but the show never really grabbed me, and now I feel like it’s too much effort to catch up. Thankfully, AMC is giving me another chance to enter the world of the show with a spinoff called Fear the Walking Dead.

Hipster Wiccans who are hoping to pick up hexes to cast on annoying coworkers from Etsy are now out of luck. The Daily Dot brings us word that online crafts shop Etsy has barred people from selling spells, hexes and other supernatural items that offer no tangible benefits. Many witches are not happy about this development, however, and are claiming that Etsy is doing them grave economic harm by banning the sale of their particular crafts.

Though many people are still getting accustomed to 4G LTE speeds, it’s never to early to start dreaming of an even faster mobile future. That’s right folks, we’re talking about 5G network speeds.

Of all the games we knew about before E3 2015 kicked off this week, Star Wars Battlefront might have had the highest profile. Few other games have the pedigree and history of the Battlefront series, fading away before its time with an ambitious third entry canceled before Pandemic Studios could ship it.
After years of silence, Battlefield developer DICE decided to take up the mantle and reboot the series itself. It was one of the biggest reveals of E3 2013, and two years later, I’ve finally had a chance to play it.

Just a few days after a researcher at the Blackhat Mobile Security Summit in London disclosed a keyboard vulnerability that put upwards of 600 million Samsung Galaxy devices at risk, Samsung announced that it plans to roll-out a security fix to address the issue.
The vulnerability itself stems from the stock Swiftkey keyboard that comes pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Because the Swiftkey keyboard will periodically look for and download additional language packs, security researchers at NowSecure figured out a way to spoof a proxy server and send down malicious code to a device.
