Want more proof that the HTC One M9 has been a complete disaster so far? Look no further than HTC’s own monthly revenues for May 2015. In total, HTC hauled in NT$10.8 billion in revenue in May 2015, or about USD$348 million. This was not only a 20.3% decline from the NT$13.5 billion in revenue the company posted in April, but a stunning 48.5% decline from the NT$21 billion the company reported in May 2014. The fact that these steep declines occurred just a month after HTC released its One M9 flagship phone just makes things look much, much worse for the company, since we don’t expect the sequel to the HTC RE to make up for the massive decline in smartphone sales.

If you ever read the BGR comments section — a dubious idea even on the best of days — you’ll see hordes of smartphone OS fanboys getting into comically emotional and overwrought arguments over why their preferred platform is superior. As a longtime Android user who’s spent the past two weeks using an iPhone 6 (about which I’ll write much more in the future), I’ve come to see how incredibly stupid these arguments are, and not just because they involve supposedly grown men fighting over whether using iOS or Android makes you more likely to be a registered sex offender.

The pirate TV service that has the Internet buzzing is just getting started, according to the developers behind the project. Dubbed cCloud TV, the service launched late last month and delighted cord cutters with the ability to stream pay TV channels including HBO, ESPN, Showtime, TBS, AMC, Comedy Central, TNT, FX and more without paying. Following a brief legal scuffle that temporarily took cCloud TV offline, the site’s creators have reached out to BGR to clarify how the service works and to discuss some exciting new features coming down the pike.
