Nikkei: Nintendo’s next video game console will run Android
Nintendo surprised us all when it finally came around and announced that it intends to begin releasing mobile games for smartphones and tablets that make use of its iconic characters. It looks like Nintendo’s mobile gaming plans might only be the tip of the iceberg, however, as a new report from Japanese financial paper Nikkei claims that the company’s next home video game console will be powered by Android.

Google on Thursday unveiled Android M, a new version of Android that focuses on improving overall user experience. It also packs quite a few interesting new features, including hidden functionality that Google didn’t thoroughly explain.
One of the secret Android M features involves a better way to manage passwords across Google products, and it might evolve into a full-fledged password manager in the future.

Comcast’s failed TWC merger may blow up in its face… again
Comcast’s decision to try to merge with Time Warner Cable last year might go down as one of the biggest strategic blunders of the decade. Not only was Comcast forced to embarrassingly withdraw its bid for the cable company but it also opened itself up to investigations about whether it’s actually lived up to promises it made to get its last mega-merger with NBCUniversal approved by regulators.

Police in India arrested a pigeon suspected of spying for Pakistan

Developers are just getting started coming up with cool applications for the Apple Watch and one that caught our eye on Friday was a new app called Drip that’s designed to interact with work with your Dropcam cameras to deliver live images directly to your wrist.

Solved: The real reason there are holes in Swiss cheese
Why does Swiss cheese have holes? It’s been the subject of great speculation throughout the years but researchers in Switzerland (where else?) think they have the answer. Agence France-Presse, via The Guardian, reports that researchers at a state-run agricultural research center called Agroscope have determined that tiny hay particles that fall into the milk are the main reason Swiss cheese develops holes. Previously, research suggested the holes were caused by carbon dioxide released by bacteria, but that’s apparently not the case.
