As big a part as monthly subscriptions already play in all of our lives, the sheer number of services that we have to choose from is only going to increase in the coming months and years. It’s not as simple as choosing between Netflix and cable anymore. There are now four or five internet TV services I can think of just off the top of my head (YouTube TV, DirecTV Now, Hulu with Live TV, and Sling, to name a few), in addition to streaming services that house their own original content as well as licensed content, like Netflix, DC Universe, HBO Now, and Amazon Video.

With that in mind, I’ve all but shut myself off from the idea of paying for any of the video streaming services that are currently in the works. At some point, not only do these endless subscriptions become unaffordable, but there’s also only so much time in the day, and a lot of the free time I do have to watch TV is spent on sports.

And yet, in a truly outrageous display of apathy toward my wallet and my willpower, The Hollywood Reporter revealed this week that the Disney+ streaming service — which still doesn’t have a release date — will feature a Monsters, Inc. spinoff show starring the original voice cast from the animated Pixar film.

Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy S10 5G in the US, but the phone is already available in Korea, from the nation’s top three carriers. However, no matter how great the Galaxy S10 phones look, the Galaxy S10 5G experience isn’t perfect, according to complaints from early adopters. That’s because the phone is having trouble hanging on to 5G connections, and is failing to connect altogether when trying to fall back to 4G LTE.

A report from Business Korea says that Galaxy S10 5G users are complaining about data issues, but the carriers and Samsung claim that there isn’t much they can do to resolve the problem.

Of all the pivots in tech history, has there ever been one more pronounced and impactful than Netflix’s transition from a company that sent out DVDs in the mail into the streaming behemoth it is today? Though the transformation didn’t happen overnight, Netflix’s focus on streaming — along with its downright obsession with original programming — helped turn the company into a cultural institution with an ever-expanding amount of influence across both the technology and entertainment spheres.

Interestingly, though, Netflix still is in the business of sending out DVDs to subscribers in the mail. And though you might be hard pressed to find anyone with a DVD player these days, a shockingly large number of consumers across the U.S. still rely on Netflix for physical media. Specifically, 2.7 million Americans still enjoy Netflix DVDs via the mail, with CNN noting that DVD rentals helped add $212 million in profit to the company’s bottom line last year.

Samsung unveiled two of the most intriguing phones of the year — the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy S10 5G — at its Unpacked event this February, but it didn’t tell US consumers when they would actually be able to get their hands on the devices. But today, after weeks of anticipation, the South Korean conglomerate has finally announced availability details for the US, and, as expected, Android fans won’t have to wait too much longer.

As for the Galaxy Fold, Samsung says that it will be sending out exclusive invitations to reserve the foldable phone on Friday, April 12th to everyone who has registered on Samsung.com. You still have time to sign up here for an invite if you haven’t already, and remember, supplies will be limited. We only have two weeks to go until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters, but select media members were already treated to the first eight minutes of the movie. That’s on top of the 10 minutes that Marvel showed the press last week, which included a one-minute scene that’s been edited and shared on Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and YouTube.
