It’s not often that the departures from Netflix are more noteworthy than the arrivals, but that might be the case this week as the entire animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series is taking its leave from the streaming service. Though the movies that covered this time period in the Star Wars saga were rightly maligned, the Cartoon Network series was shockingly good. Hopefully it’ll pop back up on Disney+ later this year (or whenever it launches).

The biggest addition of the month might be You vs. Wild, which is a spinoff of sorts on Man vs. Wild in which you make decisions for host Bear Grylls and guide him on an adventure. It will be interesting to see if this generates as much buzz as Bandersnatch, which was Netflix’s first major foray into interactive storytelling.

“We consume too much content,” Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo said recently, addressing the amount of footage they filmed for the movie. “So at our disposal are lots of different shots that aren’t in the movie that we can manipulate through CG to tell a story that we want to tell specifically for the purpose of the trailer and not for the film.”

We share that quote to remind Marvel fans that the Russos manipulate the Avengers 4 footage shown in trailers and TV spots to keep things secret until the premiere. To that end, Anthony and Joe just told us that one of the most epic Endgame scenes we saw this week isn’t real. GameStop is hoping that a just-announced slew of offers as part of its spring sale that kicks off on Sunday will bring in some much-needed revenue for the beleaguered gaming retail chain, following a bad earnings report that crushed the company’s stock a few days ago.

The 5G revolution is slowly getting off the ground but Apple will be sitting on the sidelines for the time being. As is to be expected, and similar to its previous strategy with respect to 4G a few years back, Apple is planning to wait for broader nationwide coverage before joining the 5G party. So while 2019 will see any number of 5G enabled devices from Android hit the market, iPhone users will have to wait a bit. The only question, though, is how long that wait is going to be.

Despite the widespread assumption that 5G enabled iPhones will hit store shelves in 2020, recent investor notes from analysts have raised the possibility that Intel — Apple’s chief 5G modem supplier — will not be able to produce modems at the scale Apple needs. Meanwhile, Apple isn’t liable to strike up a deal with Qualcomm given that the two companies are still battling it out over royalty payment issues in jurisdictions across the globe.

We’re in the endgame of Disney and Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame marketing campaign. The two companies seem to be pulling out all the stops in the weeks leading up to what will likely be the biggest movie of 2019 — and I say that being fully aware that the finale of the third Star Wars trilogy is hitting theaters too.

This week alone we saw a Special Look clip that qualifies as a new Endgame trailer considering all the new footage Marvel revealed, as well as a TV spot that contained a few new scenes. On top of that, the Avengers: Endgame scene that was first shown during the Disney shareholders meeting in early March was again shared with a limited audience, this time at CinemaCon 2019.
