Apple insider claims 2019 iPhones will have two-way wireless charging

%name Apple insider claims 2019 iPhones will have two way wireless charging by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

All of the major smartphone vendors around the world do their best to one-up the competition year in and year out, and this year, it’s Apple’s turn to play catch-up. Samsung’s latest phones feature a variety of bleeding-edge upgrades, including 5G connectivity, quad rear cameras, Infinity-O displays, and two-way wireless charging. Apple will no doubt bring some of these features to its next flagship phones, but at least one has been all but confirmed by the always reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo this week in an investor note.

According to Kuo, Apple will bring two-way wireless charging (also known as bilateral or reverse charging) to its next iPhone models, expected to launch this fall. Two-way wireless charging will let the iPhone charge other devices, such as the new AirPods wireless charging case, and all three models are said to have this ability.

Watch Tesla’s new ‘Sentry Mode’ catch a woman on video keying a Model 3

%name Watch Tesla’s new ‘Sentry Mode’ catch a woman on video keying a Model 3 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Tesla last month introduced a new security-oriented feature dubbed Sentry Mode. As the name subtly implies, the new feature enables Tesla owners to record 360 degree video of their car when a serious incident or attempted theft occurs. The car’s camera’s aren’t on continuously, it’s worth noting, but spring into action when a threat of some sort is detected.

Recently, Sentry Mode managed to film a woman who, with no apparent rhyme or reason, decided to key the outside of a Tesla Model 3. As evidenced by the video below, the woman in question — who has two kids with her, mind you — tries to subtly damage a Model 3 by scratching the outside door panel with her keys. Close-up shots of the video make it overwhelmingly clear that she knew exactly what she was doing and acting with malicious intent.

This new app makes finding a movie on Netflix like swiping through Tinder

%name This new app makes finding a movie on Netflix like swiping through Tinder by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime video are fantastic. Once upon a time, you were at the mercy of network and cable television channels when it came to watching TV. If you wanted to actually pick something to watch, you get to head over to your local video store and rent DVDs or Blu-rays. Those days are thankfully long gone, and the aforementioned streaming services have massive catalogs of content to choose from. Of course, everyone knows all that content can actually be a double-edged sword. Sometimes there are so many choices that it becomes overwhelming and you don’t know what to watch, so you end up just rewatching something you’ve already seen.

There are tons of different apps out there that aim to make it easier for people to find things to watch on various streaming services. Some work better than others, but there’s a new one that just launched and it takes an entirely different approach to movie recommendations: It makes finding movies on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video like finding a date on Tinder.

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 5G finally has an official price and release date, but not in the US

%name Samsung’s Galaxy S10 5G finally has an official price and release date, but not in the US by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It took a bit longer than expected, but Samsung finally announced the release date for its first 5G phone on Monday. The Galaxy S10 5G, revealed during the Unpacked 2019 event keynote in February, will launch in Samsung’s home market of South Korea on Friday, April 5th in Majestic Black, Royal Gold, and Crown Silver colors.

As Samsung notes in its press release, the 5G commercial network in Korea has been active by carriers since last December, which means that early Galaxy S10 5G adopters will be able to experience the gigabit speeds of the new technology right away. Although it ended up coming a few weeks later than Samsung had hoped it would, the Galaxy S10 5G will be the first 5G phone on the market, heralding a new era of transmission speeds.

SNL hilariously mocks the bizarre Jussie Smollett saga in new sketch

%name SNL hilariously mocks the bizarre Jussie Smollett saga in new sketch by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The second sketch on Saturday Night Live this weekend pulled no punches and brilliantly tackled the downright bizarre saga of Jussie Smollett. Smollett, if you recall, is the Empire star who, by all accounts, staged his own mugging as part of an ill-conceived effort to make a name for himself and generate some buzz. As the police investigation into the mugging went along, it was soon revealed that Smollett paid his “muggers” a generous sum of money for their services.

The SNL sketch itself begins in a boardroom of writers and network executives waiting for Smollett to arrive. Eventually, Smollett — brilliantly portrayed by Chris Redd — enters the fray and says he was late because he was attacked yet again. With the room of network executives rolling their eyes in disbelief, Smollett proceeds to take out a bag of clues his attacker purposefully gave him to prove any alleged naysayers wrong.
