Captain Marvel is playing in theaters as we speak, having had a monster release weekend a few days ago and getting ready to dominate the box office for at least one more week. The film brought us several answers to some of the questions we had after Infinity War, raising several others in the process. The most important topic concerns Captain Marvel’s whereabouts. What has she been up to for the last 25 years and why we haven’t seen her join the Avengers in any of the previous MCU films?

We do know that Marvel is exploring ideas for Captain Marvel sequels set both in the 1990s and in the present day. But there is a crucial detail many of us ignored so far, and it suggests that Carol Danvers actually did return to Earth after the events we just saw in Captain Marvel. Or, in the worst case, she’s been keeping close tabs on her home planet. NASA’s Mars Opportunity rover is dead, having been swallowed up and spat out by a colossal dust storm on the planet last year. We’ve said our goodbyes to the trusty rover and dealt with the anguish of losing it, but NASA is back to remind us of the remarkable work that the trusty robot performed while on its mission.

In a new post, NASA reveals what it says is the final “parting shot” that Opportunity captured before the dust storm killed it. It’s a panorama of Mars’ Perseverance Valley, where Opportunity spent plenty of time and ultimately perished.

Just days after Apple confirmed its March 25th “show time” event by sending out invites to members of the press, a new Bloomberg report helps to shed light on Apple’s short-term plans for its TV service. Although the iPhone maker is expected to finally debut its long-awaited Netflix rival at the event, a majority of the content available on the service at launch will be from third-party content providers — not from Apple itself.

In fact, according to Bloomberg, “the first slew of releases” won’t hit the service until much later in 2019, as most of them are still in development. Presumably, the shows Apple has already released on Apple Music, such as Carpool Karaoke and Planet of the Apps, will be on the streaming service, but that isn’t clear.

What’s the first thing you do when any popular service you rely on goes down? Why you panic and take to social media to warn everyone that the end is nigh, of course! Beginning around 10:00 PM EST on Tuesday night, users around the world began to notice that something wasn’t right with several Google services on which they’ve come to rely. The first reports suggested something was amiss with Gmail, and the volume of those reports increased exponentially. Yes, Gmail was indeed down… but things didn’t stop there. Google Drive would quickly follow, with users unable to connect and access their files.

As if all that wasn’t bad enough, YouTube soon began having issues as well. A Google Drive outage is annoying and a Gmail outage is obviously even worst. YouTube was the last straw, however, and users poured into social media services like Facebook and Twitter to vent over the fact that they watch their favorite creators.
