When Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 in early 2017, we got to see a new vision for Samsung’s smartphone design. The Galaxy S8’s main feature was the Infinity display with its curved edges and small side bezels. Samsung made some minor refinements to the design this year when the Galaxy S9 came out, but that phone was too boring for most fans and sales have been disappointing. It looked almost exactly like its predecessor. Come 2019, Samsung will introduce as many as four different versions of the Galaxy S10, all featuring a next-generation Infinity screen. And now we have one more leak to confirm the Galaxy S10’s gorgeous design.

%name New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ IMAX trailer solves a major mystery from the first trailer by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

A few weeks ago, Marvel and Disney finally released the first Avengers 4, revealing that Endgame will be the film’s title. We dissected it soon after the trailer hit YouTube, looking for various clues about what’s about to happen in the Infinity War sequel. We ended up finding even more questions than answers, not that we expected Marvel to reveal too much ahead of the film’s premiere. However, Marvel did release a new IMAX trailer for the film, which already seems to explain one of the mysteries from the original version of the trailer.

Qualcomm secures iPhone ban in Germany as Apple pulls select models from stores

%name Qualcomm secures iPhone ban in Germany as Apple pulls select models from stores by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

An already serious legal battle between Apple and Qualcomm is starting to intensify. Not only are the two companies duking it out in jurisdictions across multiple countries, the stakes have become increasingly high with each passing month. Most recently, a German court ruled that certain iPhone models with Intel modems infringe upon Qualcomm patents and cannot be sold in the country, according to a report from Reuters.

Apple is naturally planning to appeal the ruling and the looming ban. In the interim, all of Apple’s 2018 iPhone models remain available for purchase across the country. Apple, though, indicated that it has stopped selling the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 at its retail stores in Germany, though the devices can still be picked up via local carriers.

IMDb reveals the top 10 most anticipated movies of 2019

%name IMDb reveals the top 10 most anticipated movies of 2019 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Now that 2018 is winding down we can safely say that it has been a banner year at the box office. A whopping 15 movies this year have managed to gross more than $500 million worldwide, including four movies that pulled in over $1 billion. That list includes Incredibles 2 at $1.24 billion, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom with $1.30 billion, Black Panther with $1.35 billion, and Avengers: Infinity War, which managed to gross a ridiculous $2.05 billion at the box office. In case you’re wondering, that makes Infinity War the fourth highest grossing movie in history behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic, and Avatar, which raked in $2.79 billion worldwide.

Marvel was indeed the top studio yet again in 2018, and 2019 is shaping up to be more of the same. There will be five additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that will premiere next year, and they’re all shaping up to be smash hits at the box office. Are they all among the most hotly anticipated new films of 2019, though?

Facebook explains why the scandal over third-party access to private messages is overblown

%name Facebook explains why the scandal over third party access to private messages is overblown by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

At this point, Facebook probably can’t wait for 2018 to be over and done with. Earlier in the year, the social networking giant was riding high: revenue was increasing at a rapid clip and the company’s stock price was hitting all-time highs. But in what seemed like an instant, Facebook lost a good amount of public goodwill when the full scope of the Cambridge Analytica scandal began to emerge a few months back. Ever since then, Facebook has seemingly been on the defensive.

Unfortunately for Facebook, the company appears to be fighting a growing number of battles on many fronts these days. The latest scandal to hit Facebook comes in the form of a new New York Times expose which alleged that third-party companies like Netflix and Spotify had read/write access to ostensibly private user messages. Addressing the matter, Facebook VP of Product Partnerships Ime Archibong penned a blog post explaining what exactly happened and why.

It was just this past May that Amazon had to explain itself after Alexa recorded a family’s private chats on their Echo speaker, and then accidentally sent them to a third party.
